1985 Honda CRX Si Description
For sale is my 1985 CRX sI Autocross car. This car was raced locally in SCCA and was successful in Autocross. I spoke to the builder who said "this is the car no one wanted anything to do with". I have history on it and will share the builder and prior driver's name with buyer. You can look its performance up.
SCCA considers the CRX as in the top ten of autocross cars and its the only FWD.
This car was built and started racing around 1995.
Description:
Electromotive throttle body injection with crank trigger ignition. Computer controlled with ECU removed. Sunroof filled. Autometer Procomp gauges.Custom built front and rear sway bars. Tokico shocks. Custom stainless exhaust turned in for sound management. Recently custom reupholstered seats. Optima yellow top battery. Simpson belts. dressed currently in street wheels with brand new tires. Car has been lightened with period HF components where possible. Runs like a scalded cat. Body very nice. This car hasnt been outside much.
I am selling this car because I dont have the time to commit to racing it that I thought I would have.
Runs out good though second can be a little balky. Recommendation to go to a heavier weight oil - probably GM.
Plastic is good and the car is street-able though a bit aggressive. Everything works so you can drive it to the track. Its fitted with a fire extinguisher.
It is a race car. It is sold as is.
This car is a turnkey car so buy it and take it to the track next week.
Car is insured and titled in my name.

I put a new fuel pump in the Honda today. The old pump was getting cranky and I wanted to make as sure as possible that this car was in good order for the winner of the auction. The CRX runs great and the new pump is very quiet.
Good luck on the auction, I think the winner will get a little tiger that will be a blast to drive. I have some miscellaneous spares that are being included as well.
