1984 Honda Civic Hatchback / Wagon Description

We are interested in selling this unique 1984 Honda Civic Wagon (hatchback) that was converted into an Electric Car. The car is in "Project" condition and will need a few items to be completed and functional. It is a good car for someone that is interest in working on it to get it back to running order or using its components for their own project or electric car conversion.

Please take a look at the pictures presented and also a walk around video that better describes and shows condition.To the best of our knowledge the vehicle will need 10 (ten) 12V batteries, connectors, and to be wired up properly. At the time we acquired the car it was able to move under its own power, but very slowly. We are not sure if this was related to low voltage in the batteries or other faults. Since then, the 10 batteries have been removed and are no longer with the vehicle. There will also be a need for an 11th 12V battery that is there to operate some of the auxiliary components, such as lights, radio (although missing), etc.
This is a very cool and unique car that was one of the earlier electric car conversions. At this time there are drastic improvements in solar panels, electric motors, batteries and other components that could be integrated into this vehicle to make is functional and improved. There is literature with the vehicle that describes components and diagrams for wiring and so forth. However, you should do your own research and the literature is only provided for information purposes. This is not a step by step build manual, it is information that will helpful in rebuild process.
A booklet from KTA Services Inc 2003 (Components & Publications Catalog) and Solar Car Corporation (Electric Vehicles & Components) are included with additional receipts and paperwork.

This car does have a Clean Florida title.We are able to ship it if need be at owners expense.If shipping costs are a large consideration, please message us your zip code and we can provide an estimate. The car will need to be loaded with a winch or roll on ability. We can help load it at pick up or if a transporter is loading it. If you decide to tow it yourself, we recommend doing it where all 4 wheels are off the ground (avoid using a dolly) as the tires on the vehicle are in bad shape (even though they hold air). Delivery of the vehicle may also be an option at minimal expense within a small radius of our location.

$250 deposit to be made via within 24 hrs and remainder of funds to be paid within 3 days. Unless additional arrangements are agreed upon.
