Replaced Drive Train with extremely low mile(less than 500mi) 2002 6.5L turbo diesel engine and adjustable mode 4 speed transmission. All mechanical work completed by an experienced former AM General Master Mechanic.
"Poor Man's Duramax" This configuration is not available to the Public. The later model Turbos are being crushed. This takeout drive train is still stock military with all the advantages. The engine has been tuned for optimal performance and an adjustable mode transmission controller has benn added. The Duramax conversions vary widely in quality, engine adaptation and method and can be a night mare. Why spend over $80k for a gamble. I think this is the best of all worlds for the Humvee. You can get from point A to B at highway speeds and when you go off road enjoy all the power and capabilities!
