2001 Humvee M1045A2 Slantback. 6.5 liter that runs very strong and a 4 speed transmission that shifts as it should. I purchased the HMMWV without doors and since my purchase I sourced an incredibly nice set of original Kevlar X doors and had the vehicle painted with original CARC paint and stencils reapplied...same identifiers as the vehicle had prior. Brakes and rotors are new and the engine oil has been serviced. Tires still have the run flat inserts. I had a color backup camera added as well, appears almost factory which was the intent. Greatly improves visibility and can be run full time, not just in reverse. Seats have been professionally recovered to match the original. I purchased the vehicle 2 years ago next month and went through the exhausting process of getting it TITLED and has license plates, etc. Waiting on the Government paperwork alone took many months. I've driven the Humvee around a bit (under 200 miles) for fun but now it's time to move on to something new. If you want to make it more of a "show" Humvee the interior could use to be cleaned up and the residue from the prior headliner removed, etc. I oversee several states for my company and am literally on an airplane each week so have no time to work on it or drop it off and pick it up each time I decide to do something more to it. Again, it runs and drives great, does not overheat, etc. Under 1,000 miles on the Odometer as the Government refurbishes these and installs a new Odometer when this work has been completed. Very nice example here...I'm sure it has seen military duty like the rest but is not thrashed to be sure. This is a rare machine and even more rare to have one that is titled and plated. Shipping is of course the buyers responsibility and buyer assumes all responsibility to confirm that their state will also title the vehicle...though I presume that given it is currently titled in Oregon will only help. Listed as 1980 for eBay as they require a VIN but do not recognize the VIN #'s from these vehicles. |
