1966 International Harvester Scout 800, wheel drive. Began service as a military vehicle at Fort Bliss in El Paso, exas. Stenciled in the engine compartment, 0 Sept. 66. This vehicle was purchased because there was no discernible rust anywhere. Very unusual for an International Scout of this vintage. Most likely due to being in service in El Paso and apparently never used outside of the region. Original 4 cylinder engine starts and runs with an alternate fuel source, 2 gallon gas can. Existing fuel tank should be removed, leaned, nd coated before attempting to use as fuel source to start or drive this vehicle, ecause of this the vehicle cannot be currently driven. Surface material on seats has deteriorated due to exposure to desert sun. Two front bucket seats have padding, prings and frames in good condition as does optional rear bench seat. Removable metal hardtop with good glass. Passenger side door stuck. No glass in either driver's side or passenger side doors. Windshield and rear opening window good. Warn locking front hubs. Period correct 16 inches wheels with good street tires. Will require a 12 volt battery. Vehicle inspection advised, r ask pertinent questions before submitting a bid. This is a 50 year old vehicle.
