In the 20 years I've owned my Scout I've received dozens & dozens of positive comments. Many comments from people saying that in the past they also owned a Scout and regretted selling it. I took their comments as a lesson,… don't sell My Scout!,…. but unfortunately now it is necessary for me to part with my Scout. Not something I wish to do. Money is tight for me these days and I don't see the extra cash anytime soon for me to continue to make the improvements I would like to make. (i'm self-employed and national retail corporations do not support small business as they have in the past, even though I have better prices and service than my competitors have. MY RANT!! ) So for it to continue to reach it's full potential as a "head turner" it needs to be in the hands of the person with the money & time to take it to "maximum coolness".
Improvements I've made and new stuff: Radiator, Starter, Poly Gas Tank, Transmission (rebuilt-maybe 400 miles on it). Spray-on bedliner(rear half), new seats & console (black denim),seat belts, fender flares, front bumper, roll-bar, bikini top & full coverage canvas top, large storage trunk included, Hood Scoop (not mounted), shop manuals. Car Cover, stereo/mp3, 4 barrelcarb. Muffler and exhaust. Sun-visors& lighted rear-viewmirror.,… and other little this & that's.
No hardtop,... I never used it so i sold it. Parts are not too difficult to find.
You can invest some money into this and make it YOUR fun & unique “Head Turner”. It will never lose it's value. Check out the ones that are listed for sale to understand better. They aren't making anymore,... so keep the "Scout" alive.
(i'll pay shipping, maybe)
