1976 International Scout II Traveler Rallye Edition 4x4 Convertible
Mint Condition “Frame On” Cosmetic 8 Month Restoration
For sale is one of the cleanest 1976 International Scout II Travelers in the states. All original California RUST FREE Scout. Very rare, highly optioned and collectible “RALLYE” Edition. These longer wheel based (118”) Scouts hardly ever come up for sale or auction…especially this nice and a Rallye Model. The Traveler was only produced from 1976-1980 and was the only International model to win the prestigious 4x4 of the year award. Not to mention they are very stable off road. The brand new yellow paint is mouthwatering and is the original “born with” color. Keep the top on or remove for the coolest convertible out there! The sale comes with a color matched tailgate for when the top hatch comes off. Has the 345 cubic inch V8 International motor with a fresh top end rebuild coupled to a freshly rebuilt auto 727 transmission and transfer case…all with zero miles since rebuild. Power steering and power brakes (discs up front). Bullet proof Dana Differentials. Originally an A/C car and the compressor is long gone but everything is there for an easy conversion to the new and legal refrigerant compressors that are readily available. Completely new fuel system including the very rare and optional 33 gallon fuel tank (most had the 19 gallon tank). Brand new 31/10.5/15 AT’s wrapped around new wagon wheels. Too much to list and bore you with regarding all the new parts that are new on this Cornbinder. You can’t build one cheaper than the fair low reserve of this great investment. This is a very rare piece soon to be a collector’s item. Very hard to find!!!! Please review photos to understand the extent and quality of the restoration. It’s not a perfect 100 point show truck but is very nice! Serious inquiries only please.
Haggerty Insurance said this about International Scouts: “International Scouts SUV’s are up by 85%” and that “These SUV’s are going to be the next big thing”.
Here’ your chance to own a great piece of Americana. Serious bidders please.
