1952 International Harvester Pickup Truck with great old patina and no rust
1952 International Harvester Other Base Description
1952 IHC L120 pickup truck. This is a great old truck from dry west Texas that gets more thumbs up than a red Ferrari! I purchased this nice this old western girl 3 years ago, no rust-through anywhere, no rust on the frame, lots of old black paint underneath the truck, even the area around the front marker lights under the headlights is rust-free where most of these trucks rust! Check out how little wear is on the bed and tailgate, this truck was used very lightly its entire life. Cool patina, warn but not rough its blue paint is a re-paint maybe 25 years old, with very little left on the tops of the fenders hood and roof, what’s left shins to a nice satin sheen when buffed out. This was my father/son project and Dad and I have done some mechanical work and replaced a few items to bring her to this extremely reliable, safe, fun vehicle to own. The brakes are new with good brake lines and master cylinder, repacked front wheel bearings, 5 new radial tires, we replaced the 4:10 rear-end gears with 3:73 so she travels safely and comfortably on country roads or the highway at 55-60 mph. The front end and steering is tight and she drives down the road straight with-out effort! The engine starts easily and purrs like a kitten with no smoking, the clutch and transmission work great. New aluminum radiator, rebuilt starter, rebuilt generator, new heavy duty 6 volt battery, new fuel pump, NOS oil pressure sending unit, professionally cleaned and sealed fuel tank, installed new fuel level sending unit, new windshield, new rear window glass installed, Very Rare NOS 6 Volt electric windshield wipers installed, installed directionals using the front marker lights, new tail lights, NOS tail light bracket, all new bulbs including headlights, new spark plugs, condenser and points, All new interior: professionally upholstered seat and headliner, new door panels, miles of sound deadening material installed, new flooring with pad and mat, all new weather stripping around windows, doors and hood, new fire wall insulation panel installed, new boot for the gear selector, new boot for the throttle, new floor toe board.
