1963 International Harvester Other Description

I’m putting my 1963 C120 up for sale. It has the 1962 quad headlight front end. This is not unusual because they didn’t title the truck until it was registered. So it was built as a 1962 but wasn’t registered until 1963. This truck will get you lots of attention at the car shows. This truck is very clean top to bottom.

Specifications as follows:

  • 119” wheelbase
  • 4x4
  • Regular cab
  • Short bed, step-side box
  • 266CID V8
  • T-1 manual trans, 3 speed, column shifter (3-in-the-tree)
  • T141 t-case
  • 4.77 axle ratio

The odometer shows 45760; that might be original given it's condition. However on a 54 year old truck this might be mileage over 100,000, or completely unknown. I am selling as mileage unknown.

This truck is almost completely stock. I believe the seat and seat belts are from a GM but they match the truck well. I’ve put some new old stock 36” Buckshot Mudders on the truck. They work well with the 4.77 gears. I’ve put less than 300 miles on these tires.

I bought the truck in Oklahoma, and shipped it to Michigan. The last owner got the truck in Louisiana, but the truck was originally delivered to Minnesota from the factory. The sheet metal is pretty good. The 2 pictures with black paint are the underside floorboards of the cab. They look like original metal to me.

This engine, clutch, transmission all work fantastic, and the brakes are completely overhauled with new pads, cylinders and springs kits all replaced. This truck has an electric fuel pump for added reliability. It smokes a little when cold started, but clears up as soon as the engine warms. I posted a video of the exhaust outlet while running so you can see it runs clean and sounds good. Video is on YouTube at https://youtu.be/hI0qNzOLrnI .

Turquoise is the original color but the exterior is an older repaint. It’s still shiny and looks good from 15 feet but there is some cracking in the paint finish. It will need to be repainted if you want it to be show quality.

This truck is turn-key and ready to cruise. I have the original owner’s manual, line set ticket and you get the Hula girl on the dash.

If you live near-by, you can come and see the truck in person. If you have the truck shipped, I will gladly work with your transport company.
