1975 International Harvester Scout Description

Thought I'd keep this forever, but will be moving abroad and can't take it with me.

  • Originally a California car - undercarriage is rust-free as is the rest of the vehicle (the only exception is a small finger sized spot in the passenger side footrest)
  • The stock 345ci V8 has been upgraded with the Holley 2400 Sniper EFI master kit, hard fuel lines, and Holley electronic fuel pump
  • Distributor rebuilt to employ a magnetic system allow timing using the EFI
  • New 8.8 Accel wires
  • New Bosch blue cylindrical coil
  • The engine is mated to a Chrysler TorqueFlite 727 auto and a Dana 20 transfer case
  • Disc brakes up front, with drums in therear
  • Power steering
  • A/C equipped from the factory, but while the compressor turns, it doesn’t currently function
  • RetrosoundHermosa stereo with Bluetooth, USB, dual aux inputs, and voice calling
  • Pair of Infinity Kappa 6x9 speakers in the doors
  • Cooper Discovery 31x10.5 AT tires around stock wheels with original functioning lockers
  • S6 spotlight
  • Roof-rack
  • Tow-hitch
  • Foot bell (pretty unique feature)
  • All indicator lights (turn signals, parking lights, and brake lights) have been replaced with high intensity led lights
  • Full set of original hubcaps
  • Spare tire with matching cover is included
  • Secondary battery under the passenger seat

The only rust is in the passenger side footwell. The S6 spotlight works but isn't currently hooked up. The interior ceiling lights are missing. The motor has the typical 50yr old vehicle oil drip. Original stock carburetor and intake housing included. The dash pad has been replaced with a replacement reupholstered in black leather. The original green padded dash pad is included. It is crack-free but does have some small holes from screws used to attach trays added by a previous owner. The metal on the rear lift-hatch on these tends to weaken over time with use. It was the case on this one as well and it was re-welded and body-worked using a tig welder (the welding heat bubbled the paint, hence the red primer). Odometer reads 34,437 but if it has rolled over is unknown.

Buyer arranges and pays for shipping or pickup. $500 deposit is due at auction end. Remainder payable by bank transfer or bank/cashier's check.

I was asked about any issues and the EFI install. The install was definitely harder than I had anticipated but am glad I did it. I'll post a video of a cold start (so easy and consistenteven on the coldest days it still blows my mind). The only other thing I haven't gotten to is the wiper fluid still doesn't spray (but I think it is just the switch not working).

A potential buyer asked if I could pull it while he sells his current car to get money together. I am not, but lightstreamdoes loans on classic cars at 4-5%. Also, I am going to take and post a video of it driving tomorrow to show how the EFI tune performs. If you want any pictures of any area of the car, let me know and I'll post them.
