1973 Arizona Scout II

Barn Find

345 V8, Manual Trans,

4x4, Convertible, PS/PB

**NO RESERVE**

Up for Auction is this super solid and rust free Scout II. Rescued this Iconic SUV from the dry desert of Arizona. It hadn’t been on the road since 1992! It sports a newly rebuilt 2bbl Carb, new custom aluminum radiator, new battery, gas tank cleaned and pressure checked, electric fuel pump, complete tune up and the big 345 runs and drives with plenty of power. The Scout has Power steering. Bullet proof Dana’s front and rear. Mileage shows 49105 but there is no way to verify actual mileage. The manual tranny works and shifts like it should. The current tires are very weather checked and dry rotted from sitting and not road worthy. It has a small Rough Country lift with new leaf springs all around. The body is incredibly solid with absolutely zero visible rust/cancer. I’ve had many Scouts in the past and this is by far straightest and most solid Scout that I’ve had in a long time. The fender lips, rockers, quarters, floor boards, cargo area and body mounts are solid! This is the way you want to find these rigs! The exterior has a very cool patina and is sum typical bumps and bruises with some evidence of filler in the passenger quarter but no rust. The paint is not show quality by any means but looks period correct and matches the Scouts personality for its 46 years of age. The interior is complete, original and in great shape. The only missing is the dash pad. Take the top off and you have one of the coolest convertible SUV’s ever made! All the glass is in good shape. The Scout runs and drives but has a hole in the muffler and is pretty loud. It’ll need to be transported for sure. The Arizona Title is clear, signed and ready to go. The rig would is a great candidate for a soft restoration and with paint and tires it would be a really nice Scout. Serious bidders only…please check with your boss before clicking that “Bid” box. This true American Icon is fun to drive, easy to work on and draws attention everywhere it goes. Being sold at NO RESERVE. Would make a great Tax Refund gift for that special person. Where else are going to find a great Scout like this that is not totally rusted out and not a POS for under 10K? Restored, they are pulling ridiculous money which makes it a great investment!

Haggerty Insurance said this about International Scouts: “International Scouts SUV’s are up by 85%” and that “These SUV’s are going to be the next big thing”.

**PLEASE REALIZE THAT THISVEHICLE IS USED, THE BODY AND PAINT ARE NOT PERFECT AND HASFLAWS. IT IS APPROX46 YEARS OLD, IS NOT A “100 POINT” SHOW CAR BUT RATHER A VINTAGE SUV.
