1977 international scout II 4x4 manual transmission DRIVES
1977 International Harvester Scout Description
https://youtu.be/lGhd_qkIUIgClick on link to YouTube for video of scout. This scout runs but had been in storage for 5 years. Engine sounds great! Last owner was a good friend of mine who since pasted away. He had owned it since early 90’s that I remember. He loved this scout an had told me the top had never been taken off since new. He had got it from friend in Colorado. Till 5 years ago it was used daily. It started up and after a few seconds it smoothed out and sounds great but has old gas still in it and I recommend changing all fluids and flushing radiator. Things that I see wrong with it are drivers door needs new hinge bushings. Horn button missing. Hood release knob missing. Dents above driver door and small one on front fender, cracked windshield as seen in pictures. Drivers seat torn. Driver side window needs new mechanism not sure about passenger side. Does have some rust around wheel wells and looks like someone tried to repair at onetime. Floors look solid and inner wheel wells. With a little TLC this Scout will be ready to go! I was told the axles are Dana 44 because it came with factory V8. However I’m not an expert on this subject. It has lockouts and four wheel drive works great! For a 42 year old scout it’s in pretty good shape. I would love to see it restored. He loved this scout and it needs a good home. LOCATED IN Silver City, New Mexico. Will need to be picked up or you’ll need to find transportation for it. Any questions message me. Thanks for looking!
