1974 International Harvester 200 Description

1974 INTERNATIONAL 200 3/4TON 4X4 PICKUP TRUCK
This is a solid old pickup truck to use as-is or restore. It runs and drive well. The body has some rust but not too bad for an international of this year. This is a factory A/C truck. The A/C compressor is gone but the rest of the system is in place. Thanks for looking and feel free to ask questions or make an offer.

MECHANICAL
Ibelieve the engine is a 345 V8. I have not decoded the engine to check it. International did have a couple larger engine options in this year. I can try to decode it to be sure if you'd like. The engine runs nice and doesn't smoke, tick, or knock. No major leaks. 4-speed manual transmission. The clutch and transmission work as they should with no problems. The 4x4 works as it should. I've checked it in 4 high and 4 low. The tires are older 35" mud tires. The truck drives very good, especially considering the mud tires. I was surprised when I drove it home. One tire was switched out at some point and has less tread than the other 3. Wheels are vintage "turbine" style aluminum. The power steering and power brakes work fine. I haven't inspected the brakes for wear or anything. The drivers side fuel tank has rusted through on the bottom. The other tank seems fine. The truck overall needs no major mechanical work. I would do a full tuneup on it though and inspect the brakes, change the fluids, and all the basics.

BODY
The body on this truck is pretty solid but it has some rust. The bed floor is rusted out. I've repaired these before on a ford and it's fairly easy. The cab floor has rust also on the floorpans. I'm sure the repair panels are available. The truck has a couple dents but pretty straight overall. You can see them in the pics. The doors and hood operate as they should. The tailgate is gone but I can help find one to put on it before it ships out. I can discuss that with the buyer. The original bumpers are gone. The ones on it are usable I suppose. The rear bumper has a lid also. It's a bumper/toolbox.

INTERIOR
The interior needs to be re-done. It depends on the level of restoration you'll be doing. It would be driveable with a seat cover and maybe a carpet. Your choice I guess.

This classic cornbinder is used and sold as-is.
