1968 International Harvester Travelette Description

Time to move and can't take my projects - forced to sell my 1968 International Harvester Travelette *short bed* crew cab 4x4. This rare rig will get attention wherever you go.
This truck starts, runs, and can carefully putter around the block. Great candidate for full restoration, or just tighten up the brakes, tune the motor, and tear up the trails!
Engine is a beefy 345 ci V8 that could use some tuning (timing, carb), but idles well once it's warmed up. Odometer either reads 27,380.0 or 273,800.
Transmission is a 4 speed manual T98, with granny low. NP202 transfer case. Closed knuckle D44 front and D44 rear with 4.11 gears. Has standard (non-split) wheels with radial tires.
Body is decent overall, but I have seen some rust thru on front fenders, drivers floor, bed floor, tailgate and one side of the bed. Windshield is cracked, but a spare windshield is included!
Interior needs to be redone. Exterior lights don't work reliably. Has 1nfuel tank under passenger side, and has all hardware (filler neck, selector, etc) to add a tank under the drivers side.

This Travelette is a "salvage" vehicle in California, to be sold with a bill of sale, in as-is condition. Serious bidders only, ask questions if you need to, and BID TO WIN. Thanks!

On Aug-31-16 at 01:36:53 PDT, seller added the following information:

This Travelette is "salvage" because some knucklehead sold it to a junkyard years ago. The junkyard was smart enough not to scrap it, and sold it back to the public as a complete truck, but it got branded "salvage" just from that. The truck needs a brake & light inspection before a CA title will be issued, but the truck is in fully my name, and 100% legal to transfer anywhere on a bill of sale.
There is NO evidence that she has ever been in a collision, or a flood, or gotten noticeably damaged, so don't let the word "salvage" scare you away :)
