1985 Jaguar XJ6 Description
For sale locally as well, offers will be considered.Need to sell it fast since I don't have space. It's as-is for that reason.
Up for sale is my 85 Jaguar XJ6 that I've owned since 2000. It passes CA smog and runs well. I just recently did a valve job on it, transmission was rebuilt and driveshaft was rebuilt and balanced. The tires have plenty of life in them, the body was recently painted with PPG single coat black, the good stuff that won't peel. I didn't get to do a full paint job as I ran out of time so the tail area needs to be finished up. The title says salvaged on it because 15 years ago or so someone backed into the passenger side doors and scraped them. I have since completely replaced and rebuilt the two doors. One needs a little alignment but the body is straight since the damage was minor. The engine runs strong and the car accelerates quite well.

I've put in plenty of work and money into this car as everyone else says. I've taken the best care of her as I could and it would be great if it went to someone who could really appreciate a cruiser like this. It's very nice and turns heads, great car if you love curves and chrome!
Buyer can drive it home, I just recently took it on a 100+mi drive. The car likes to be driven long distance, it'll run very smooth afterwards.
I need to add that this car is being sold as-is. It's a Jaguar and these cars need a good, attentive owner to keep running well. I need to sell it and it is a bargain considering how difficult it is to pass smog here in CA. Original smog pass result papers from an official, non-corrupt station will be provided as proof of passing. It's a registered, clean, roadworthy and 100% street legal CA car.
Please ask questions if you have any.
Also wanted to add that I bought the car with around 180K mi on it and used it for a commuter for a few years, then kept it mostly as a spare as it fit more passengers (other car was a 2 seater). I've resumed commuting with it lately and will be commuting with it until sold so yes it is still running well and no smoke or odd noises that I can detect. There was some typical rust around the rear window that was ground off and POR15 applied to lock out the moisture. It was a quick job but it will stop the rust, it should be sanded down and coated over with enamel in the future. These cars all rust but with proper upkeep it can easily be stopped from spreading. The paint isn't perfect but the car is cheap enough to encourage the new owner to finish it up. I don't have the time or space anymore.
