1985 Jaguar XJ Vanden Plas Description

1985 Jaguar XJ6 Vanden Plas with 56,570 one owner, original miles. This car was purchased from the original LA, California owner who owned the car since new. The owner at the age of 86, could no longer drive. The car has been covered and under a carport for much of its life. Despite being covered, the original black paint does have crazing in the finish which is noticeable upon close inspection.
It drives exceptionally well and can boast having all systems functioning correctly - even cruise control, AC, fast power windows, sunroof, lighters, rear reading lamps, etc. According to the original owner, the rear seat has never carried passengers and it shows. Both rear seat and front passenger seat are unblemished and unworn. Additionally, this Jaguar has always been serviced by the local Jaguar dealer according to the original owner. The chrome wire wheels - including the spare tire - are in excellent condition and wear Pirelli Cinturato tires with plenty of tread. The trunk area is very clean, the tool kit never used.
It has just gone through an inspection by a Jaguar specialist, receiving a fresh oil & filter and a retool of the locks as the original owner had lost the keys. The rear right passenger door has small areas of rust at the bottom left and right corners a result of clogged door drains. The right front door, below the door side molding is discolored. The latch for the center console is broken.
This authentic car is an exceptional value and a hard to fin, non-restored Series III. Reasonable offers will be considered.
