1971 Jaguar E-Type Description

This is a very original dry climate COMPLETELY UNRESTORED car, with all factory original paint with only the center of the front hood being painted, ie, this 45 year old sports car still wears her original paint on fenders, doors, roof, and all of the rear of the car. .

The original carpets are almost like new.

Mechanically exceptionally strong, she runs cool, excellent engine, transmission, brakes, steering and suspension, with dry, unpainted, untouched, factory original undercarriage, in turn key condition with only minor acceptable imperfections.

Cosmetically, pictures should speak for themselves.

Complete with owner’s manual, factory spare, jack, wheel wrench and leatherette pouch in excellent condition. The only option that I notice seems to be the roll forward, Golf Club rear seats.

With beautiful patina. Startling, alas she is not perfect and has numerous imperfections when compared to a new car.

This beautiful exotic sports car is available for any inspection at our showroom in Beautiful Sunny Costa Mesa, California or at ANY REPUTABLE service garage of your choice within a reasonable radius of our showroom.

We at Performance Vintage International are licensed California Classic and exotic car dealers, and only for California buyers will charge sales tax and state mandated transfer and documentation fees (registration fees are paid to the state, plus a $65 documentation fee with sales tax based new owner’s county rate). We do not charge out-of-state buyers for these fees and they will be responsible for their own fees and need to pay their own state fees and taxes themselves as appropriate and we will only charge a $75 documentation fee.

Any shipping fees will be buyer’s responsibility and you can select your own carrier and pay them directly.

In line with normal eBay practices please note that all inspections are to be made prior to auction close ! winning the car does not entitle you to come and inspect her to see if she is really what you want ! That should be done before you place your bid !

Prior to auction close, multiple inspections by the same person are no problem and welcome, you can come back as many times as you like, bring friends, cousins, mechanics, brothers, sisters, neighbors or spouses all welcome !

The Mileage stated is as displayed and due to her age and the hand me down nature of history cannot be warranted, although believed to be correct.

As a realistic note, do realize that this car is unrestored, and therefore has numerous imperfections when compared to a new car, still exceptional for a 45 year old unrestored car, having beautiful original aged patina. Naturally, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and please ask all questions and inspect her to ensure that she is to your liking and acceptable with her imperfections, prior to placing your bid.
