1970 Jaguar XKE 2+2 Description

1970 Jaguar XKE 2+2 finished in red paint with red leather interior. Chrome and brightwork in nice shape and really sets this car off. This car came to us out of long-term storage, and we have had it out on short frontage roads but not long trips. Paint is a nice driver-quality with some touch-up spots here and there. This has been repainted along the line as well. Riding on chrome spoke wheels with redline tires. Under the hood is a 4.2L Inline 6-cylinder that is paired with an automatic transmission. This is also nicely equipped with optional a/c, disc brakes, rack and pinion steering, independent front and rear suspension, and power steering. The E-Type was based on the Jaguar Racing D-Type that was used in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Jaguar E-Type Series 2 were produced from 1968-71 and the 2+2 was added in 1966. The fastback style with the 2+2 was actually 9 inches longer than its 2-seat counterpart. Door panels, headliner, bucket seats, dash, and carpeting all in great shape. Oil pressure gauge appears to work. Gas gauge did not work and thus why the fuel light will be on. Radio did not produce any sound. E-Type steering wheel in good shape also. Hood release locks are located inside each of the door jams, driver and passenger. Classic Jaguar right here at Unique Specialty & Classic Cars!
