1965 Jaguar E-Type Description

Up for auction is a barn fresh 1965 Jaguar XKE Coupe chassis number 1E32026. This car is for total restoration and all parts that are missingare readily available. Everything that comes with this car is shown in thephoto below.There is only 1 side rear window in the parts photo but I have both inthe same condition that come with the car.The car is reasonably rust free but will need toe boards that sellfor $49 each. The trunk floor is solid with some surface rust as is most of the normal rust prone areas. The inner and outer sills appear sound. The bonnet is only mounted to the front subframe loosely but fits the cowl well and isn't as bad as it looks in the photo. The front subframe is in very good condition and is rust free especially where it mounts to the bulkhead in the lower areas that are usually rusted out. There does not appear to be any prior accident damage. The battery box area is very nice and not rotted away. The inner and outer sills appearto be reasonably solid. The Engineturns over freely with a wrench. Both doors appearto have been repainted in the past and in good condition. I purchased this car from the estate of thepast owner who owned it for close to 40 years, died 15 years ago and leftthis car inside a covered barn out of the weather. I know very little else of its origin. The title is from Ohio, in the seller'sname, clear and in hand. These Series 1 covered headlight cars are rapidly increasing in value and it is becoming veryhard to find cars that need restored to your exact specification.
