1967 Jaguar E-Type Description

1967 JAGUAR E-TYPE 4.2 LITER SERIES 1ROADSTER --Opalescent Silver with Red leather interior, ed carpets and Black convertible top, otisserie Restoration by Marque Specialist, erformance upgrades and 5-speed gearbox, oncours condition, hrome wire wheels, atching Numbers, ertified by the Jaguar Heritage Trust. VIN: 1E15812This E-type Roadster is a matching numbers example. According to its Heritage Certificate it was delivered new to the U.S. market and sold new by Jaguar Cars New York to its first registered owner Mr. David Reimens of Wharton, exas on July 17th, 967.This E-type has been a Texas car for almost all of its life. It was left early on unused in a garage, ut complete. Purchased by Jaguar restoration firm, t was completely restored. Subsequently, t was sold to a Mr. R. Isip a Texas Toyota dealer and collector. In 2012, his E-type was offered for sale. Subsequently, urchased sight unseen from the internet by our client and its previous owner in 2012, t was delivered to its new home in Albuquerque, ew Mexico. Once received and upon inspection by a marquee expert, t was noted to be a mediocre restoration at best.It was decided to send this E-type to Texas based Jaguar expert, an Mooney’s Classic Jaguar for a thorough nut-and-bolt restoration that also provided an upgraded level of performance while aiming for cosmetic authenticity and thus, e-restore this E-type properly and to exacting standards, he way it should have been in the first place! New high-performance camshafts, nlarged stainless steel valves, orged pistons, ightweight flywheel, &N filters and an aluminum radiator were fitted for improved performance. For better road holding and drivability, lassic Jaguar added a five-speed transmission, ilwood brakes, oni shocks, pgraded torsion bars and wider, olished Dayton wire wheels mounted with Dunlop performance tires. Cosmetically the choice was made to retrofit a Series 1 bonnet with covered headlamps. Although not significantly altered from its original configuration, his E-type boasts approximately 300 horsepower in its current form. A complete list of upgrades can be seen within the photos.
