1959 Jaguar Other Description
1959 Jaguar MK1, Factory White car with Red Leather interior and automatic transmission. This is one of the last MK1's manufactured. The final generation incorporated many features that the MK2 would be known for, such as four wheel disc brakes, open wheel spats (fender skirts) and a 3.4 litre engine that delivered superbperformance, and is considered by many to be the mostdesirable of the engines.
This car came From British Columbia to Albertaapproximately 20 years ago. I currently have the car registered and titled in my name, which will make it easy to ship anywhere in the world! The body is very solid with no rust to mention, and has had onepaint job since new approximately 30 years ago, and other then a few small imperfections still looks good. I take this car to local car shows and was voted people's choice for favorite car. The interior is largely original and retains it's original hides on the seats in good serviceable condition with some expected patina and wear from use. Carpet was replaced when the car was re-sprayed approx 17 years ago, and is still in good condition, as is headliner and wood, even theoriginal tube radio works well. Exterior Chrome is in good condition and polishes up nicely.
Mechanically the car is very sound, it is currently insured and being driven, and has notrouble keeping up with highway traffic, with lots of power to spare. Tires are brand new and have 99% tread. the car starts first push of the button andidlesquiet, and smooth.
The trunk is also very solid, complete with original tool kit.
This is a good daily driver, that has had some recommissioning after being in storage several years. A great car to drive as it is, or perfect candidate for a light restoration.Hagerty Values this car as follows:
#1 - $92,700#2 - $58,800#3 - $33,600#4 - $24,200
My opinion is that this is a solid #3 Vehicle.
Vehicle is sold as is of course, due to age.
