1983 Jeep CJ Laredo package Description

No reserve!

Owned since 2012. Driven at last once a week. 4WD performs great, especially in snow. I've added: Vinyl Dash bumper, Dash plate, speedometer, headlights, wiper motor, wiper blades, fan motor 3 speed, heater core, carburetor refurbished, battery, under carriage rust proofing, cut-to-fit commercial grade rubber bed mat, cable pulls, floor vents, floor mats, inside cab bed liner coated, professionally welded frame reinforcement, frame rubber bushings, air filter, dash light covers, steering column, ignition, high beam switch, turn signal lever, new parking brake and rear brakes, pedal pads, seatbelt, door weatherstripping, head gasket and spark plugs. With purchase also included but not installed: unused new black step rails, extra set rust free metal full doors (stored inside never used, need painted to match, extra set of rust free half metal doors black-need buffing, original clock and tachometer, original dash with cigarette lighter and ashtray, rearview mirror, latches for half doors, rear tire holder,removed-works fine just not used-all hardware included. Engine starts fine, runs smooth. Belts good. Oil and power steering leaks but only add fluids once every 2-3 months. Has common minimal surface rust areas on seams & hinges. The paint job was before purchase- is mediocre. Seats are good. Seatbelts good. Power steering works good, 4wd shifts well, tires are good shape. Chrome wheels good-lug nuts have rust. Never taken off road by me, just street driving and chores. Garaged 3 out of 4 years. The bed was rusted out when I purchased. It was cut out and steel was bolted on over its place with reinforced steel rods to support the bed. Several hundred pounds of wood hauled and bed and shocks performed well. Interior lights, fuel gauge, oil pressure/ volt meter not hooked up. Never a problem in 4 years of driving with stalling in hot or cold weather. No stereo. Speedometer is hooked up and works. Current Missouri valid inspection. Please email with specific questions. Sold as is no warranty express or implied. No refunds. Here’s a chance to own a true classic. Family growing so it must go. This was a weekend utility vehicle that never disappointed. Used mostly as truck for runs to the local homestore but did have the top off with half doors on. Looks everywhere I went. Lots of compliments. Restoration started, now needs to be completed. Give this piece of American made craftsmanship a good home. After all, it was manufactured by American Motor Corporation...
