For sale is a 1985 Jeep CJ7 with the factory automatic transmission. Lots of new parts, ll new suspension, heels, ires, nterior, tc. Straight six cylinder original 4.2L AMC 258 engine. Texas registration and inspection are current through 2018 (antique vehicle plates). Details: Original 4.2L 258 6 cylinder engine, actory 3-speed automatic transmission. Just completed a full tune-up including oil filter, ir filter, park plugs, attery, attery and starter cables, uel filter, oses, istributor cap, otor, ew wires. Brand new starter and starter solenoid just installed as well. New fuel pump. Complete fluid change including radiator flush, rake fluid, ower steering fluid flush. Lights, urn signals, orn, adio all work. Horn is a bittemperamentallike most CJs.Brand new heavy duty power steering support bracket. New dash knobs, olt meter, il pressure gauge and dash overlay. New drivers side, assenger side upper and lower Ball joints, ie rod ends, ew sway bar & shackle bushings. Front disc and rear drum brakes (power brakes). New brake fluid this year. New water pump. New full carpet set. New shifter boots and shifter knobs. New electrical including fuses and fusible links and dash professionally rewired in October 2015. Brand new radiator and hoses + cooling system service. Heater is currently bypassed. No air conditioning. All new fluids in transfer case, ngine, ransmission. Appears to be leaking a small amount from the transfer case (I think) and might need new seals eventually. New dash lights. New factory "Jeep" logo dash pad. Pioneer detachable face CD player with iPod connection. New pioneer front speakers- great sound. New padded center console with storage and cup holders. OEM factory steering wheel, ith leather wrap and factory horn button. New side and rear view mirrors. New lights/lenses all around. Bikini top only- no hard top or doors are included but if you want them you can probably find a nice set to buy. Original chrome front grille in very nice condition. Brand new 2.5" ProComp suspension lift - full leaf spring suspension system to fit the 33 inch tires. Professionally installed- Have all receipts for this work. Matching set of brand new tires - BF Goodrich Mud Terrain KM2s 33x12.5x15s. Full set of brand new flat black Pro Comp wheels. Full sized rear spare with new tire cover. The spare is an older tire/wheel non-matching. Original factory rear spare tire carrier in great condition. New heavy duty offroad shocks/suspension parts. Wheel bearings just serviced. New steering stabilizer. New shackles and U-bolts. Original Laredo silver decals on newly painted exterior. Jeep was originally a Renegade (no tach or clock). New chrome front bumper. New chrome rear factory style bumperettes. New black Bestop padded rollbar cover. New front seats and matching rear seat (both Bestop). New seatbelts. All original, ew OEM emblems/badges/correct CJ7 Jeep emblems. New sun visors. New all weather floor mats. Factory chrome headlight bezels are perfect, ith factory chrome headlight retainer rings. New fuel lines and fuel pump/filter. Original Carter 2bbl carburetor has been tuned and runs nicely. As with most CJs you need to pump the pedal and crank a few times, ut only if you haven't started it for a while. If you drive it every day or so it will start right up. New fender flares. New windshield tiedown kit and windshield cowl.
This is a nice cosmetic restoration but also a jeep you can drive. Not museum quality so you can get it out of the garage and enjoy it. Remember- this is a 30 year old Jeep so it's not perfect. But nothing needs to be done to the Jeep to enjoy. Some of the body panels were replaced by the previous owner as part of the restoration but look nice. There are some imperfections here and there in the paint but overall looks good. Other issues to note that I never got around to fixing are: a cracked windshield, rame appears to have some minor welding/repair but drives very straight, on-working fuel and temp gauges (can be replaced without replacing the entire speedometer), olumn shifter is a bit touchy when selecting between park, rive, everse, tc. and you have to kind of go by feel- you will get used to it, ut it does work in all gears, airly worn power steering gearbox that shouldeventuallybe replaced- drives fine as is but the steering wheel has some play in it which is pretty common on these Jeeps.
