1989 Jeep Wagoneer Description

1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer
Time to sell my baby! I have spent a lot of time and money working on my dear Waggie. It breaks my heart to part ways with her but I am moving out of the country soon and will not be able to take her with me. Very hard to find original Wagoneers this clean and functional. Trust me, she is even prettier in person.
Mechanical Condition -
I call her The Panther because her agility and stealth would surprise and impress you. She rides on a 4" Bilstein lift and brand spanking new 33x12.5x15 Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires. The 360 engine runs very strong. Fires right up every time, even in the cold. Strong transmission, shifts silky smooth. Heat and AC work great. Emergency break is very strong. Mechanically very solid rig. I just replaced all spark plugs and wires, the distributor, the ignition coil, new carburetor, new radiator, just had the A/C serviced, as well as a fresh oil change.
It was running fine before I did all these repairs, I just decided it could use new spark plugs and I got a little carried away! Hahaha I hope you get the message, she runs great and I have taken great care of her! I use her a few times a week for shorter distance trips because I don't want to put miles on her, but just a few days ago I took her on a 200+ mile Sunday drive through a steep canyon pass just to make sure she was in tip-top shape. She did great!
Cosmetic Condition -
Cosmetically she definitely isn't perfect, but I love every inch of her imperfection. The beautiful Dark Baltic Blue paint has some clear coat peeling, especially on the hood. I tried to get all of the worst spots in the pictures. Has a couple scratches here and there, and minimal rust in the usual spots. Also has rust on the roof underneath the SWEET custom roof rack. Glass is in great shape its practically see-through. Overall not terrible, but for sure it could be better with a little love. Myself, I prefer these old beauties with a little ding here and there, it gives them the character every oldie needs!
But hey it's what's on the inside that matters most right! :) Near perfect! Has every original piece of trim right where it belongs. All windows work ( rear window works great from the switch inside but does not work with the key out back ). The seats are all in great shape and the power adjustments work. Windshield wipers, blinkers, horn, accessory bumper lights, aftermarket auxiliary stereo with upgraded speakers, all dash lights. Headliner in good condition. Door panels perfect. Upholstery is beautiful as well as the carpet ( minus one tear behind the rear seats which I got a picture of ).
Everything that does NOT work -
- The dome light above your head. Checked all fuses and tried new bulbs and still nothing. I am pretty good at figuring out mechanical stuff but as far as electrical goes, I get wildly confused so that is as far as I took it.
- Rear window does not roll down from the exterior key switch. ( Mentioned earlier ) Not sure why. Also the rear window wiper is missing, I am currently looking for one and will update this if I find one.
- The little knob to adjust the side view mirror is missing, but you can adjust it manually.
- I have not tried the cruise control, it may work I just didn't dare try it!
Well there you have it! I hope I covered everything. I have never sold a car on ebay before, I decided to give it a try to reach a larger audience that might appreciate this exquisite vehicle. I am not hiding anything I am being as honest as possible with the details. If you plan on shipping the vehicle feel free to contact me as my uncle owns a vehicle transportation company and I can get you a quote to see how it would compare with the other options.
My name is Nate and my number is 801-318-2031. Contact me at any time and I can satisfy any questions or concerns or to talk about a sale before the end of the auction. Thank you and have the best day.
