1968 JEEP WAGONEER - RUST FREE ARIZON SURVIVOR
1968 Jeep Wagoneer Description
I saw this Wagoneer when I was on a quail hunting trip in Arizona and fell in love. Had it shipped back to Georgia and proceeded to get it in much better shape than I found it. The Wagoneer is RUST FREE! Check the pictures. The transmission and clutch were rebuilt by the previous owner. The Carter carb was rebuilt. I replaced all the wheel cylinders, brake shoes, master cylinder and brake lines. New tires, new shocks, new battery, new turn signal switch (impossible to find). All the fluids, belts and hoses have been changed and I 've given it a complete tune-up. I stripped the floor boards and coated them with rust preventer. They were solid and only had surface on them. Installed new insulation and floor covering. Installed new seats that were color matched to the original color. Smoothed out the paint and sealed the patina with an industrial wax. Looks better that clear coat and was much more cost effective. All in all, it's a beautiful and unique vehicle. Made in Toledo Ohio with US steel and no plastic! A few things need attention. The rear window needs tweaking. I bought a custom relayed wiring harness and had the American Bosch motor rebuilt. It works, but not perfectly. It's just a matter of fine-tuning the regulator arms and the motor gear ratio. The instrument cluster lights up, but the gauges and speedometer don't work. Horn, lights and turn signals are fine. The am radio works perfectly. The accelerator pump on the carb needs fine tuning. Maybe it's the altitude difference between AZ and GA. Engine runs great. Smooth, quiet, doesn't smoke and has plenty of torque. My interests have shifted to other areas (Mercedes 280 GE, Honda Africa Twin, etc) and it's time for this to go. You've seen the other old Wagoneers at anywhere from $500 for a rust bucket to $25,000+ for a garage queen. I think my price is extremely reasonable. This is a unique vehicle that's ready to go anywhere you want to take it- as long as you don't exceed 65 mph! Feel free to call me @ 678 575 3630 if you're a serious buyer. If you're a kid, or a tire kicker, or a bottom feeder please call somebody else. Thanks for looking!
