1983 Jeep CJ 4x4 CJ7 Laredo Description

I WILL BE HAPPY TO DO A BUY IT NOW FOR SERIOUS BUYERS! PLEASE CALL ME AT (76O) 8O5-8O38 WITH ANY QUESTIONS. This is a very nice example of an increasingly hard to find Jeep. It is a 1983 Jeep CJ-7 Laredo 4x4 that has been well cared for it's entire life. It has 76,944 original miles at the current time. If you are tired of looking at overpriced and beat to death junk, I believe you will appreciate how good this one is. It is a lifelong California CJ that is completely rust free. The floorboards and frame are as nice of factory originals that you will find. They are very, very nice. It still retains most of it's factory original black paint. The only exception is the hood was re-painted because of the original clear coat was peeling. I have a brand new in the box Phoenix Graphics silver Laredo stripe kit for the hood and the sides, but I wanted to let the new owner choose if they want the lettering on the hood or not. It is a really nice Jeep. It is not perfect. Yes, it has some chips and scratches. It is a 33 year old Jeep. It runs and drives like new. I would not be afraid to drive it anywhere. It is a six cylinder, four speed manual transmission, power steering, and power brakes. The 4WD works fine. One of the best and most expensive upgrades was throwing away the factory carburetor in favor of a new Howell Fuel Injection setup. The mid 80s CJ carbs were complete garbage and need to be almost constantly rebuilt. The FI is amazing. It starts right up every time, settles into a smooth idle, and the power is much more usable. It is a CARB and BAR approved and passes strict CA smog easily. A factory Warn winch is mounted on the front. It works well and the remote controls and cables are in the center console. On board Air Compressor under the hood. Locking center console and locking tool box mounted neatlybehind the rear seat.It has a custom built, swing outheavy duty spare tire carrier with a Skyjacker jack mounted. It has a Rubicon rack which is awesome, but also easily removed if you choose. The Jeep has a hardtop with hard doors that have roll up windows and door locks. I have a custom bar/hoist that hangs from the rafters of the garage to remove the hardtop by yourself. You will need a small winch from Harbor Freight to use it. It also has a near new black soft top and full soft doors that you can remove the top part for soft half doors as well. I also have a Bikini Top for it. 31 inch tires mounted on period correct Western Turbine wheels that have been onthe Jeepit's whole life. The black Laredo interior is excellent. The front seats, back seat, dashpad, etc. are all very nice. It has a good aftermarket CD player cleanly mounted in-dash with good speakers. It sound great. All of the gauges work except the factory in-dash tachometer. The clock even works. The floorboards on the inside, as well as the hardtop, have been professionally Rhino Lined. Clean, clear California title in hand with registration good through 2017. Whether you want to four wheel to camp in the mountains or just cruise the beach, this is a nice CJ that I don't think anybody will be disappointed with. It is much better than most. With the value of a similar early Ford Bronco, Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40, or aScout going through the roof, I feel the Jeeps are still a bargain. I am located in Cardiff, CA in North County Coastal San Diego. Thanks and good luck!
