1979 Jeep CJ Description

Chassis:

The chassis is custom engineered, 1 ¾ x .095 wall D.O.M. tubing with approximately4 feet of original CJ7 box frame to maintain the VIN.This rock crawler was dynamically engineered with off road and rock crawling demands in mind.

The complete roll cage is tied to the chassis in 8 different places for rigidity and safety in mind.

The entire roll cage and body are completely removable.

The complete chassis, including every part that has color was all candy powder-coated.

This included axles, suspension parts, complete chassis, roll cage and body.

Batteries:

Vehicle is equipped with 2 Optima Red Top batteries- one for engine and one for winch.Has a built in charging isolator for both batteries.

Brakes:

Chevy type calipers with ceramic brake pads on front and rear.

Front caliper mounts all computer designed and CNC manufactured out of 7075/T6 aluminum.

All brake lines are stainless braided lines with stainless aircraft fittings.

Has a dual Wil Wood master cylinder setup- one for the rear and one for the front- mounted on the Wil Wood brake pedal mount.

Has a built in line lock system in the brake lines for use as a brake locking system when parked.

Custom CNC Machine Modifications:

Computer designed front bumper made of 6061 aluminum.

Stinger bar mounts made of 6061 aluminum

Rear view mirrors made of 6061 aluminum

All dash and switch panels made of 6061 aluminum

Spare tire mounts made of 6061 aluminum

Rear bumper made of 6061 aluminum

Custom aluminum body panels made of 6061 aluminum

Exhaust:

Exhaust made of 304 stainless.

All flanges are stainless steel and water-jetted.

Made of 2 ½ inch OD .065 stainless-mandrel bent with stainless flex joint connecters going to the stainless steel polished

Flow Master muffler.

All exhaust is mounted in rubber to CNC machined aluminum brackets.

Front Axle:

Tom Woods long travel drive shafts. Has a double Cardon driveshaft with 1350 U-joints with longer travel splines.

The housing is a 68 inch width one ton Ford housing with all new precision gear 5.13 gear ratio with ARB air locker.

35 spline chrome-moly axles.

Warn Lock out hubs.

All parts purchased brand new.

Fuel Tank:

Custom fabricated 14 gallon fuel tank with all stainless aircraft lines and fittings.Includes a Holley high pressure fuel pump.

Interior:

Quick disconnect Grants steering wheel.

Autometer gauges mounted in a CNC machined dash.Gauges are tachometer, oil pressure, engine temp, transmission temp, oil temp, volt gauge, clock, fuel pressure and fuel gauge.

Seats are Corbeau Baja with 4 point harness.

Equipped with waterproof rocker switches to control all lights and fuel pumps.Also equipped with turn signals and brake lights and is a street legal vehicle.

Motor:

1997 LT4 Corvette 350. Purchased new with factory fuel injection.

Engine and vehicle has less than 500 miles.

Has complete custom wiring harness as well as ECM computer.

Computer has been modified for more power and a different idle RPM modification was made.

Every part that went on the engine, alternator, starter, power steering pump, etc. is new. No used parts went on this engine.

Radiator is a Griffin aluminum double pass radiator with a 2500 CFM electric fan.

Engine operates at 185 degrees under any condition.

Rear Axle:

Dana 60 full floater with 513 gears, one-ton Ford housing with a Detroit locker.

1 ½ inch, 35 spline axles with 9/16” studs.

Rear drive shaft is a Tom Woods long spline double Cardon with 1350 Tom Woods U-joints.

Steering:

Consists of PSI dual ram cylinder and orbital valve.

All steering hoses are 4000 psi lines with steel fittings.

All linkage connected to the ram are 7075 T6 aluminum steering shafts with 7/8” heim joints.

Steering arms are computer designed CNC machined out of 7075 T6 aluminum mounted with 41401/2 inch fine thread studs.

Suspension:

Computer designed 4 link linkage front and rear.

Linkage components are seamless DOM 1 ½” by 5/16 wall with 7/8” chrome-moly Heim joints.

Stainless steel misalignment bushings

All brackets on the entire vehicle were computer designed and water jet cut.

All grade 8 or better bolts (or better) were used throughout the entire vehicle.

Shocks absorbers are Sway Away 14” - 2 ½“ air shocks in front and 16 inch travel 2”Sway Away shocks in the rear.

All shock mounts and adjustable limit straps are custom CNC machined aluminum.

Sway bar system consists of 1” x 48 spline, tapered to .700 in the middle.

Arms are made of 6061 / T6 aluminum all CNC machined.

Heim joints connect to aluminum hex rod

Tires and Wheels:

Wheels are new polished Trail Ready Bead Locks.

They are 17” x 9”-8 hole wheels. Included is a complete new spare.

Tires are Super Swamper Iroks 39.5 x 13.5 x 17”.

Transfer Case:

Latest Atlas 4 speed with a 10.3 low gear (3.7, 2.3, and a 1.1)

Hand built CNC machined planetary linkage installed with a custom CNC machined rear transfer case mount.

Transmission:

Transmission is a custom built TH350 turbo with an aftermarket standard stall speed torque converter.

Equipped with a deeper aluminum finned pan for extra cooling.

Temperature gauge with transmission oil cooler mounted in front of radiator.

Converted to a manual shift design for more control.

Winch:

9000 pound Mile Marker with a 5/16” -100ft cable.
