1990 Jeep Wrangler Description

1990 Jeep Wrangler 133,000 Miles Straight 4 Manual Summary: I originally bought this Jeep because it has NO RUST, just surface rust that could be removed with a wire brush. I planned on fixing up as a rolling restoration but don't have the time. Would be a great project, rig, or run-about Jeep. Mechanical: Runs goods. Always starts, would drive it to Anniston and back once a month no problem. But it is not perfect, it does run rich ever so often causing a hesitation that it temporary, lasting about 1-2 minutes. Very infrequently it will also "run-on" or "diesel" when it is turned off. I think it needs a new injector, or seal around the injector in the throttle body. Cosmetic: Top is rough. Seats are rough. Radio works but not great. Shifter knob/handle is missing. Basically, the interior is original to 1990 and the paint is old too and hopefully the pictures show that accurately. However, a new top, new paint job, maybe a couple of seat covers, and you would have a seriously great-looking -- to exactly what you like -- and mechanically sound Jeep. New: coil distributor cap and button spark plugs/ wires belts Map sensor exhaust pipe to catalytic converter Valve cover gasket flushed: oil, coolant and break fluid Known issues: occasional hesitation in engine third gear synchro weak when hot volt meter occasional stops working clock doesn't work needs new retaining clip for shifters Contact: I'm happy to answer questions or just discuss. Message or call at 256-631-7065. Shipping: If you need to ship it instead of picking it up, you'll need to choose and hire your own shipper. I recommend auto-transport-reviews.com to find one.
