Extremely hard to find in this condition!
The ideal candidate for an original restoration! This is a Texas Jeep that's incredibly solid. All original metal! Original floors. Zero rot. Nothing has been cut or modified. Rare bench seat option. The Jeep also includes original paperwork, original dealer-installed drawbar and Ramsey winch!
History:The Jeep was sold new on July 16, 1976 in Waco, Texas. And has remained in Texas it's whole life. It is effectively a one-owner Jeep. The original owner held title for 40 years before being transferred to a second owner as it awaits restoration. All 54,924 miles are original. All equipment has remained with the Jeep with exception of its original white Whitco Deluxe Safari Top.
As it sits, the Jeep is a drivable project. The plugs, plug wires, belts, brakes, brake booster, brake master cylinder, front brake lines, and carburetor have either been replaced, or re-built. All electrical is in working order and all gauges are working. The original 304ci V8 runs well with no smoke. The transmission and clutch are in good working order. Transfer-case and differentials are unmodified and in good working order.
Body:For the most part, the Jeep is very straight! There are a few dings here and there; one on the front drivers fender, one along the passenger side of the hood, and a couple on the tailgate. Short of a bit of small surface rust, the metal is in tremendous condition! You just don't find them in this condition every day. There is not one single area of the Jeep that would need to be patched. All metal is very solid and original. There is not a spec of body filler or previous metal work on the Jeep! The rockers are in excellent condition. The corners are untouched and perfect. The hinge areas, complete windshield frame, and inner fenders are excellent. The pictures are hiding nothing! The inner tub is fantastic. No rust in the usual areas.. front floors, tunnel, seat mount area, behind the seats, rollbar mount area.. all solid!
Underside and Frame:The frame is in great condition. All rust is the lightest of surface rust. There is no rot in the frame. It has never been cut or modified. Same with the original suspension, and axles.
What to expect when it shows up: A very straight, all metal incredible restoration candidate with paperwork! You just don't find them like this. A Jeep CJ7 undoubtably worth restoring to impeccable show-quality originality. That's what it deserves! It is in drivable condition. Running, turning, and braking.
I acquired the Jeep fully intending to restore it. But it's just one of those deals.. no time. I'm liquidating a few of my toys to pursue a new business venture and unfortunately can't invest in both at the same time. I'm very familiar with CJ Jeeps and open to answer any questions I can. Good luck! Don't let a Jeep like this pass you by!
