1987 Jeep Wrangler Base Sport Utility 2-Door Description

This is a 1987 Jeep Wrangler YJ that we bought as a project when we first opened. Since then, we've gotten very busy with paying clients and we've been stuck at 98% complete for the past 5 months.

Engine is a freshly 4.2 rebuilt, and was upgraded with new accessories and Weber 32/36 Carb conversion.

Trans is an AX15 - installed by previous owner, cleaned and re-installed with new clutch.
New Starter, Alternator, Water Pump, etc.

Front clip is all new components adapted to YJ frame/body by us, a professional body shop.

Frame and body was professionally sand-blasted. Frame was repaired in house (body mounts, shock mounts) and coated in POR15.

4" Rusty's off-road lift kit

Rubicon Take-off Hard Rock wheels/tires.
(With wheel spacers/adapters.)

Newly installed rear spare tire mount/bumper. (Had to remove license plate, have not yet relocated or cleaned up original license plate location.)

Have classic front bumper just installed this week.

All body paint is BASF Glasurit professionally shot. (Factory Mopar White, like all the new trucks.) Undercoat is Mopar Sound deadener undercoating product.

New carpet installed, hole in carpet from a possible chemical spill. Not sure, can give you info on replacement carpet, it was affordable. (In pics, behind passenger seat.)

Half doors weren't original, but added and have keys.

Installed manual axle collar, as vacuum operation was non-existent.

Ran and drove GREAT before we started. Originally slates as a test-mule, but ended up being WAY too nice of a Jeep, so we went crazy.

Still needed:
Install wipers. (Just put in new windshield)
Install Bumper (here.)
Carb adjustments.
Misc. wiring. (So far just the heater/blower isn't yet operating.)
Two aux switch holes need filled, or switches for accessory lighting in dash.
Top, if wanted.
Hood hold-down adjustments. (loose)

To have this built, it would have been in the $35k+ range, but we used it as a way to have something to do while our business was built and do not expect to make money on this one. Since we're not getting back to it anytime soon, thinking about letting it go.

We are willing to work with some trades. (Truck, buggy, Jeep, maybe other stuff.) We were expecting to have this done and listed in the mid 25k range at the beginning of the Summer but missed the opportunity. Not a lot to compare for pricing, so willing to discuss any and all options.

I'm sure I'm missing a lot of stuff that adds value, and there's likely some other small things that need completed. It's just time to start thinking about finding her a new home.
