The CJ-8 Scrambler was a long wheelbase pickup version of the popular CJ-7. It featured a removable half cab small pickup bed and the traditional Jeep 4WD system. They offered many of the same options and features as the CJ-7 but they had relatively low production numbers. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this sold CJ-8 Scrambler for your consideration. This truck has been the baby of a local resident who has barely driven the truck at all in the harsh Michigan winters since buying it in... 2013. Having spent most of its life in Bloomington Il this truck is a solid driver. The dark blue body has its flaws small dents and marks here and there and the paint is a little faded in places but overall the body and frame are very solid. All of the plastic and chrome trim is likewise worn but is full intact. A removable half cab top is included and fits well. Newer 32in tires are in good shape and are mounted on factory wheels. Steel bumpers are mounted front and rear. A roll bar is mounted and has a spare tire and jack holder. The interior is pretty solid as well with a clean dash and decent seats. The heater and speedometer work well the tach is inoperable and the owner tells us that a topped up tank shows up as ¾. The Jeep was built by the well known Area 51 Jeep specialists in southern Indiana and was built to be a reliable and tough driver. The truck is fitted with a newer 4.0L high output inline 6cyl engine mated to an easy shifting 5-speed manual transmission. The truck drives very well and goes down the road without and issue. The truck has power steering and front mounted power steering cooler. In addition to the hardtop the truck comes with the original center console half doors and other spare parts. If you are looking for a rare (less than 4200 made in 1984) and durable truck that you won't feel bad driving this is the vehicle for you!
