1986 Jeep Wagoneer Description

1986 Jeep Wagoneer
This Jeep Grand Wagoneer is a very well preserved original example of what left the factory in 1986.
Aside from being absolutely a rust free body and having a rust free frame (the underside looks as good as the topside) this Grand Wagoneer sports beautiful paint (Garnet Metallic) and all original body panels. The floors and brackets ( gas tank specifically) are rust free as well and in excellent shape.
The interior (Honey Leather) is in great shape, with no tears what so ever (there is dimple pictured in the back seat from someone sitting on the seat-belt that will smooth out, the headliner is all-original and in great shape too. No cracks or waves, anything unusual in the dash or missing or broken features, which is very common. The gauges illuminate and dim perfectly and there are some key marks on the steering column which is very common and easily touched up if desired.

The tailgate & rear window work perfectly both from the interior control and rear key control - a rare functional feature in the Wagoneer world and a must if wanting to utilize the cargo area.
As for non-factory additions the original radio is long gone (replaced w a modern style) there is a 6” Custom Lift Kit installed (giving the truck about 3”above stock height & a perfect stance for any environment). A custom wide exhaust system has been added giving the motor some breathing room while sounding great. The truck has also donated itsoriginal wheels and tires to the Wagoneer's Without Wheels Fund ( WWWF) and now wears a lightweight aluminum set with 33 inch tires ( adding to the stance).

This truck has had all the usual maintenance and is sporting lots of newer parts including, battery, carburetor, ignition, belts, cap, rotor, plugs, alternator and a bunch more updates I am probably forgetting that have been done over the past five to seven years.
The previous owner stated that the truck had been in the same family from new and shows to be well cared for. I drove this truck back from Washington State in 2015 and the current mileage is 156K andcounting. Lots of thumbs up around town and taken to the local cars and coffee quite often.
Its garaged and pampered but now were making room for a new family member and its time to see it go.
