Classic Selec-Trac Grand Jeep Wagoneer
1985 Jeep Wagoneer chrome Description
This classic Jeep Wagoneer this was purchased as a gift for me by my husband. I am the 3rd owner of this very well maintained vehicle. I'm not a car expert but I do know this is a very collectible car as it is a very rare/valuable model.
It is an excellent shape, the suspension glides and the engine purrs smoothly. Recent tune up and and oil change by local classic car shop; they have kept it in good shape over the years and speak highly of its condition mechanically. Body exterior and interior are in great shape as well with only the most minor imperfections.
The previous owner added an upgraded sound system/ CD playe, GPS, satellite, and phone connection system without altering the original look of the car. I never used all the features, so I'm not even sure what they all do. I know he used to take it to car shows and it was his baby. The original owner was a friend of his who had a small farm South of San Francisco.
Smogged for California emissions standards with recently renewed registration.Stated mileage is slightly higher than my last notation but not by much at all (I will check and update). I only drive it occasionally as it is not a very practical vehicle for San Francisco and keep it in a rented garage nearby. Really I'd rather have a basic pick-up truck instead, not a classic collectable car like this that I have to worry about keeping immaculate.
It's cool that the back window has a separate automatic key opener... It has power steering... I don't know, other stuff I guess... but I'm not really familiar enough to list all the features.I figure those who are into these cars and collect them will know well enough about this model. Instead I will list the things I have taken note of that are less than 'like new' in order to make sure not to misrepresent or disappoint the buyer.
Overall the condition is AMAZING. It just want to point anything that has aged:
Most of the chrome is really immaculate but there are a few faint imperfections on two of the side markers. I think I noticed a few pin-sized flakes of missing paint on a couple spots (no rust). There is a small crack on each of the cushioned vinyl door handles for the front driver and passenger seats (but not the back ones) -the rest of the vinyl is clean. There is one small pea sized hole in the otherwise perfect fabric (and carpet) of the interior. A small area of the driver side floor mat is a bit worn down. One of the back seat belts is missing the original top cover. The passenger side mirror is not as firm (turning and positioning it) as the driver's side.
I think that's it. It's a really beautiful car that turns heads and makes people smile every time I drive it. I hope it finds an owner who will appreciate it and use more than I do.
PS. This is my first time selling on Ebay. I've listed my car on my local Craigslist site as well but have been told that people often buy cars on Ebay now and it's a good way to reach a national audience. Guess we'll see?I've always paid promptly for items I've purchased here and have only positive feedback. I think 10 years ago or so someone once tried to hack my account and bid on a couple items without paying but this was cleared up and removed from my rating by Ebay. I don't know if that's something would still show up as they said it was removed, but I want to be as transparent as possible for the buyer so they know I'm a legitimate person/seller. Thanks :)
