Jeep CJ5 in original condition
1977 Jeep CJ cj5 Description
Very reliable 1977 Jeep cj5 in original condition from dry southern Utah and Arizona. Jeep has the 258ci straight 6 bullet-proof motor with the 3-speed standard transmission. Engine has a VERY rare Offenhauser intake with a Holley 4-barrel carburator and a header. New exhaust, new AMC Model 20 rear end with Powerlock (auto locker) and 411 gears front and back. Just installed 1-piece solid axles, new plugs, wires, rear brakes, battery, water pump, distributor, cap, couple of gauges, warn hubs, some wiring, new seats (also have the brand new rear bench seat), 31x10.50x15 tires, and probably more that I'm not remembering. This Jeep runs very well and cool (even in 110 AZ heat) and drives straight down the road with no vibration of any kind. I've driven it from Prescott (6000 feet elevation) and down to Phoenix (1100 feet elevation) on the highway and it can maintain highway speeds without a problem. Original color was the light yellow then it was painted orange and now green.
Has no power streering or brakes or heat or doors or......Very straight Jeep from very dry climate that is dependable and looks good. Gets thumbs up all the time. I've strictly used it to take my dogs to the lake, get groceries and drive on forest roads with no 4-wheeling. Look at the pictures; there are no marks anywhere on the bottom (no rock scrapes), it does not leak anything nor does it need anything. Odometer (it works) showing 13,000 miles+ but of course I have no idea how many times it's been rolled over so true mileage unknown. Too "rough" of a ride for my girlfriend compared to my Polaris Ranger so I don't use it much.
I have a clean, clear Arizona title in my name.
I've set the reserve at a very fair price, considering some folks are trying to get 25k or better for restored ones. I can hang on to it for a while after purchase. Jeep is located in North Phoenix and I urge any interested buyer to view it prior to auction end and/or contact me at 602 317 7797 with any questions. This is NOT for sale locally.
Immediate deposit of $500 via paypal is due at end of auction with full balance due within 7 days of end of auction in cash, wire transfer or certified bank cashier's check. Vehicle will not leave my possession until funds have cleared.
