Grand Wagoneer by Classic Gentleman, leading buyer, restorer and seller of low mile, excellent condition Grand Wagoneers presents this low 93,646 mile all Southern beauty 1987 Grand in the ever popular Deep Night Blue. Priced at only $39,900.00, if you are in the market for a dark blue Grand from us, she is a bargain!
You would imagine with that type of volume of Grand Wagoneers we sell every year, there would be a story or two about a particular Grand that makes her stand out from some of the others. This one has that memorable story. This Grand's particular legend begins with her original owner acquiring her down in Georgia. That was her home state where she stayed for all but the last 5 years, when she moved on to North Carolina. The original owner took the time to begin a file where he kept the original Bill of Sale and made a photo copy of the window sticker. That document file includes parts, service, maintenance and inspection invoices from today all the way back to the 90's.
As charmed as this Grand's life in Georgia was, I have never, ever had a Wagoneer with an owner so enthusiastically involved in aspects of her restoration as her recent North Carolina key holder. His level of passion for this example can be viewed by all on the My Jeep and Me website where you can see first hand his devotion to this exceptional piece. Truly remarkable and his love for this Jeep is displayed not only on the website and videos, but likewise when you experience this much adored Wagoneer for yourself.
The Deep Night Blue exterior paint is a longtime favorite of Wagoneer owners and whilst we didn't apply the repaint here at Classic Gentleman, there is a paint receipt in the thick document file that dates back just 5 years and a few thousand miles ago. The paint remains in very good condition. The grill frame and grill insert are both new and we just installed new wood siding from Team Grand Wagoneer. As a testament to this Grands sheltered care, she still wears the stock factory wood trim, a feature we try to keep whenever possible as many prefer the vintage pegged factory trim. The factory wheels with gold inserts have just been professionally refinished and are wrapped with fresh whitewall tires. The center wheel caps, bumpers and the remaining chrome trim are original and still suit the Grand well.
The tan leather interior continues to reflect the special care this piece enjoyed from her former owner, the host of My Jeep and Me. The cabin features a custom center console between the driver's and passenger's seat. (The factory original front seat center cushion and arm rest will stay with this Jeep and you can revert back to the original 3 passenger front seating arraignment in minutes, if you wish). That center console is professionally color matched to the just re-coated leather seating, features modern cup holders that every other Grand owner wishes they had, extra storage space, and a blower that efficiently feeds the air conditioning to the rear seat passengers. The cabin has also been fitted with the best LED lighting I have ever seen installed in a Wagoneer. Operated via a hand held remote and also activated with the opening of the doors, the LED interior lighting is a modern and worthwhile upgrade. The floor carpeting was replaced in '16 and is protected by matching floor mats.
The interior features the usual long list of Grand Wagoneer working options including, air conditioning, power seats, power mirrors, power windows and a modern AM/FM/CD stereo. A nifty additional custom feature is a remote control attached to the key chain that raises and lowers the tailgate window. (That window raises & lowers faster than any Grand we have ever had in our inventory). Just the cruise control, poorly designed by a Detroit engineer who must have been related to someone in management, is not functioning.
Lifting the hood to show off this enthusiast maintained beautiful motor, you will want to throw the switch for the custom lighting in the engine bay. The mechanics and electricals have been carefully looked after and if you ever need the 4 wheel drive, just a flick of the under dash switch will put you on the trail.
Carfax and Autocheck both confirm the forever southern state registrations of Georgia and North Carolina, so a strong undercarriage here, along with the low miles being original with no accidents reported against this Grand Wagoneer.
Why buy from a Grand Wagoneer specialist? For us the answer is simple- our entire focus is on Grand Wagoneers and we know these unique vehicles inside and out. Remember the average age of these vehicles is thirty years more or less, and even with loving care many mechanical parts have aged and worn accordingly. Purchase a Wagoneer from a source other than a specialist and odds are that you may experience servicing and repair costs that may dampen your joy and enthusiasm for that Wagoneer that you always wanted. When a Classic Gentleman Grand Wagoneer arrives at your home, it is a special occasion. It will be in beautiful condition and ready to drive and enjoy. Yes, our sales are as-is but buying from a knowledgeable, enthusiast run specialist like Grand Wagoneer by Classic Gentleman provides added piece of mind. Our goal is to see that the joy and enthusiasm of Grand Wagoneer ownership begins immediately with your purchase and that it will be there for years to come.
Be sure to have a look at our website's recommendation page where you can see first hand the positive experiences of a worldwide assortment of named buyers. We deal honestly and work hard to insure a happy buyer. You will never be pressured or chased for a sale but given all the time needed to insure if a purchase is right for you. Guided by these principals, our modestly sized niche dealership has built a loyal and devoted customer base spanning 5 continents.
