1982 Jeep Scrambler CJ-8 Laredo pkg, 4" lift, 50k miles 6cyl 5 Speed Cold A/C
1982 Jeep CJ Scrambler CJ-8 Description
1982 Jeep Scrambler CJ-8 LaredoCharcoal gray.
Super nice Scrambler, always garaged, not taken off road, not abused.4" lift, all newer suspension, shocks and springs underneath.Drives straight and tight.Runs strong and smooth, no smoke, no fluid leaks.Has a recent valve cover gasket, they seem to start seeping about every three years.Original 6 Cyl with the 5 Speed manual transmission, showing 49900 miles.Cold A/C, Yep, this Jeep has A/C! The compressor was replaced this past summer.Heat works.Tilt steering column.Original Scrambler wooden Oak bed side rails.Rear seat that folds down.Super Winch lockout hubs.Thrush mufflers so she had a nice low rumble to her.Entire inside of the tub, front to back has been Rhino linedTransmission rebuilt and new H/D clutch. Transmission wasn't bad, but the 2nd gearsynchronizers were a little finicky.Best Top front reclining bucket seats, they are showing some wear (pictured).Locking center console.Nerf type black step bars.33" Goodyear Wranglers with maybe 3k miles on them.Ion wheels, with matching rear mounted spare.Has Grant steering wheel, but the horn doesn't work.AM/FM aftermarket CDFactory clock (works and keeps good time) and factory Tachometer. The last photo is the Jeep with the cab length hardtop and full hard doors on it. I took them off first thing and never put them back on, they are included with sale. Also included but not pictured is a tie dye Bimini top.I have a huge folder with years of paperwork for the Jeep. Fuel gauge quit a few months ago, I had the shop check it out, they traced the issue back to the sending unit, so that will need attention.Has a quality paint job that looks good and shines nicely, there are a few chips here/there, nothing major. There is a large chip on the black lower body molding behind the right front tire (pictured).I've owned the Scrambler for about 10 years now, she came from Texas and now lives in Florida. The 49k miles are believed to be original, I was told that the first owner used it on his Texas ranch and never licensed it for road use, (It was originally off white with nutmeg interior), the 2nd owner (who I bought it from) did a full restore on it. I bought it because he had before and after photos, I didn't want anything with bondo, it had been pretty much a rust free Jeep when he got it. I have these b&a photos and can forward them to you if needed. You'll need to provide a non-eBay email address as they are probably to large to go through eBay's mail service.Overall a really nice 37 year old Jeep.
If you win, a $500.00 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of listings end. Balance due within 7 days or when the Jeep is picked up, whichever occurs first.Shipping is up to the buyer, but I'll do what I can on this end to facilitate.
Title is clean/clear.
