1982 Jeep CJ -- Description

CJ7s are like the Swiss Army knife of vehicles. They can do about anything. They can get you to a job or get you as far away from a job as possible. They are basic and reliable, but full of adventure and fun. They give a driver great visibility and maneuverability in the city, and can get the driver where no one will see them and there is room to run. Check out this great looking CJ and think about...all the different ways you could use it. Jeeps make their own fashion statement by not trying to make a different one every year. They look the same and have remained true to their roots as a very capable all-around vehicle since their introduction in 1945, although they did grow a bit to make them more stable and user friendly with the introduction of the CJ7. A fresh coat of paint in a nice shade of Red gives this one a nice new shine to it. Fresh chrome adds a splash of flash with the new double bar front bumper shining bright as well as the rocker trim, sill plates, windshield hinges and mirrors. The back bumper includes a trailer hitch receiver so you can pull whatever toys you wish to your favorite playground, and a convertible top as well as removable doors mean that you can play in the open air on the way there, or stay warm and protected from the elements if you need to. Open the door (if it is even on there) and you will find a neat and clean interior that is intentionally easy to keep that way no matter where you take it. The whole floor and interior is Rhino lined with removable floor mats front and rear. High backed bucket seats have been freshly recovered and are comfortable for long cruises as well as supportive for playing off road. The back seat has also been recovered so you can bring a couple friends with you on your adventures too. The roll bar provides for some safety as well as providing a hand hold for your back-seat passengers while you make a dramatic entrance to the bonfire or campsite. A three-spoke steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column with the shifter for the manual transmission and 4-wheel drive transfer case rising from the floor. A chrome panel in the center holds most of the gauges and controls as well as a Kenwood stereo that is FM/CD and iPod compatible for your listening pleasure. Under the hood is the tried and true 258 cubic inch in-line 6-cylinder engine. They have proven themselves as reliable powerhouses that make good torque for off road playing or around town driving. A black air filter assembly feeds fresh air to a two-barrel carburetor and there is a ribbed black and polished valve cover. Headers get the spent gases out to a cherry bomb style muffler which gives this Jeep a nice healthy sound. Power flows out through the 3-speed manual transmission and transfer case to the rear, or all four wheels through solid axles mounted on leaf springs both front and rear. Fresh Hydro 7000 shocks as well as power steering keep things under control and power front disc brakes provide great stopping ability. 305/70R16 Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ tires are mounted on Dick Cepek wheels which are definitely a nice -looking addition to this Jeep. Which way would you use this Jeep? On road? Off road? Towing something? Like a Swiss Army knife, it can do it all. Come on down and check it out.
