My history:
I have owned this Scrambler since the fall of 2007. I have the owner's manual, clean Texan title, and a two-inch thick folder of service and parts records dating back to 1992 ready to go.
The previous owner restored the tub. I had the frame and everywhere else addressed during the frame off restoration in 2008. Durabac lined everything for ultimate protection and it has never seen snow since the restoration. Also rebuilt the transmission, Ramsey 9000lb winch, Tom Woods custom drive shaft, Painless wiring harness, power steering gearbox, and a heavy-duty rear tire carrier. This Jeep is solid steel with the only fiberglass being the half hard top. I have pictures (film, not digital) of the restoration process.
Had a mechanical overhaul in 2013 at 182,831 miles. S&J remanufactured long block engine, clutch, flywheel, Weber 32/36 carburetor, aluminum radiator, FAL fan, water pump, thermostat, starter. All work was performed by an ACE master mechanic at a local shop with receipts.
Only 6500 miles in the past 5-1/2 years since its mechanical over haul seems to be a good reason to sell it. This is a 35-year-old Jeep and is not perfect. Mechanically, it starts every time without failure and can do 70-75 all day straight as an arrow. I am very accustomed to its looks and antics, so I likely overlooked something, I will be happy to answer any questions via email, phone/text (512) 777-8192. Everything pictured is included in the sale. I have more pictures available by request.
