1991 Jeep Wrangler Description
This is a fully custom built machine with all the BEST of everything! We started with a 1973 Ford Bronco Frame, sandblasted and painted. We prefer these frames and axles because they are factory built heavy. Next we removed the rear leaf spring suspension and installed the James Duff Heavy Duty rear long travel quadlink system with axle bracket and quad shocks. The front suspension is also the James Duff long travel radius arm system with quad shocks. This system provides coil springs on all 4 corners. The rear axle is Bronco Ford 9" with the Mega Hi 9 center section with large 35 spline axles and Disc brakes. The center section has 5:38 ring and pinion with a Grizzly Locker.The front axle is Bronco Ford Dana 44 with lifetime warranty RCV Performance Ultimate CV axles. The front axle also has 5:38 ring and pinion with Detriot True Trac limited slip unit. The front axle is also disc brake. We installed the PSC Motorsports full hydraulic steering system with the axle mounted hydraulic ram cylinder for fool proof steering. we also installed the hydro-boost brake system for stop-on-a-dime braking. Both systems are driven by the heavy duty power steering pump. Now for the Heart of this Mondo Rig: - Gm Performance 502 cubic inch Ram-Jet fuel injectedbig block with stand alone computer producing a whopping 502 HP and 568 ft-lbs of torque. - Custom made headers and 3" side exhaust with Magna-flow Mufflers and ovaled 5" tips. - Fully built C-4 Bronco Ford transmission by JW Performance transmissions including bell housing and torque converter to handle up to 850 HP. - Ford Bronco Dana 20 Transfer case with Advance Adaptors Extreme output shaft. - Heavy duty 1350 rear driveshaft built by Action Machine. - Front driveshaft is 1310. - Aluminum Radiator with electric fans. We started the body with a wrangler tub and new CJ front fenders, hood and grille assembly. Next we cut the front fenders to achieve the "Willy's" look, and for maximum tire clearance as well as trimming the rear fenders. Roll over protection is provided by the custom weld in Poison Spyder Cage System. Custom built front and rear bumpers and rock sliders. Tuff Stuff Extreme 12500# winch with cordless controller and synthetic line. Rugged Ridge seats and harnesses. Grant tilt steering wheel. Full high end Autometer gauge clusters. All lights are premium LED. It has full turn signals and flashers. Center console with custom built in B&m shifter.Massive 18.5x 44- 15" Monster Mudders on 15" Micky Thompson wheels. 8 James Duff Premium Shocks. The exterior of the body is finished in satin epoxy, it is purposely not a show paint job. It will get scratches and dents and will be easier to touch up.The inside and under the tub is rhino lined for toughness and durability. We use the jeep body for compactness and light weight for off roading conditions.
This wildly built off road unit has been custom built for Beach, hill climbs, rock climbing, mudding or anything else you desire to throw at it. Most all parts are new and/ or rebuilt.
