Fuel injected 5.3L motor swap
1983 Jeep CJ LS Description
Huge off-road 4x4 prowess, upgraded Vortec V8 power under the hood, and a terrific dark appearance means someone made all the right investments in this 1983 Jeep CJ7. So all that's left is for you to enjoy all the benefits of this enhanced go-anywhere machine.
The hood announces the Renegade model, but this is more than just a trim level, it's an attitude. The polished huge bull bar leading the way, a matching bumper in the rear, trail-ready lifted suspension, flared fenders, and black Fuel wheels with all-terrain tires make this instantly recognizable as an off-road rebel. There's even a trailer hitch so you can bring extra fun with you. And being a go-anywhere machine means being just as accepted on High Street as it does in the high country. That's why they the black paint has a nice gloss, and you even have side step plates and a new Bestop soft top. So it can look ready for a night on the town, too.
Jeep interiors are all about function, but this one goes one step further. The newer seat covers look crisp in this all-black interior, and they give you good all-weather durability. These go great with the cut-down half doors for those times when you want to be open to nature. You'll appreciate upgrades in comfort such as the Kicker media center that controls your full audio system, including iPod controls, satellite radio, and Bluetooth. And there are upgraded speaker boxes that also include cup holders. Plus, upgrades like the sports steering wheel, full gauge package, and B&M Quicksilver shifter are nice reminders of something special under the hood.
The original motor in the CJ7 was good, but this is the upgrade we all wish we had: fuel-injected Chevy small block power. This is the modern 5.3-liter Vortec that was an option for many of the best GM trucks, so you know it has the right mix of power and torque to properly upgrade this Jeeps power and usability. It has been cleanly installed, and they have given it the right supporting components, like a large aluminum radiator w/electric fan. Plus, the header package with polished side pipes means even more added power and a terrific sound that announces to the world you have an enhanced Jeep. And because this is a true Jeep, you have a two-speed transfer case for true 4x4 ability. The lift kit gives the suspension plenty travel when it really counts, and the Ironman All Country M/T tires are engineered to find traction on any surface. Control is also well in hand with power steering and front disc brakes. And the upgraded four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive is welcomed on the street or trail.
Powerful, rugged, and affordable, this Jeep is the perfect classic for someone who wants their vintage vehicle to be a stout partner in all of life's adventures. Is that you? Call today!!!
