AMC's big 360 cubic-inch V8 was never offered in the CJ7, but for a vehicle that was painted the vivid Plum Crazy, this seem like the exact right home for this kind of power upgrade. It even features a bored .030 over kit. The V8 inhales deeply with an Edelbrock 600 CFM four-barrel carburetor w/electric choke, and it exhales with authority as headers feed the dual exhaust. You get full control over it all with the five-speed manual transmission. And while this Jeep looks striking for on-road use, it's still a proper 4x4 with a two-speed transfer case, a lifted suspension, and Dick Cepek tires. Plus, the new suspension bushings, leaf springs, shocks, and steering stabilizer all deliver a confident feeling.
