1982 Jeep Scrambler Description

1982 Jeep Scrambler 5.7 Vortec V8 Powered showing 25,865 miles offered by Gas Monkey Garage with a buy it now or best offer!

I acquired this Jeep from long-term ownership needing a little TLC (Time, Labor & Cash). It would have been an awesome build producing a $60-$70,000 showpiece, however, due to our schedule we cannot begin this project for some time so I'm offering it so you can enjoy it.

The previous owner built this kick ass Jeep Scrambler years ago with a big budget and the best components. Having covered 25,865 miles since completion, the 5.7 Vortec V8 was mated to an automatic transmission to improve performance & drivability. Warn axle trusses, coil over suspension, a Warn VR 10,000 winch, LED headlamps, Really cool tubular bumpers w/ receiver hitch incorporated and 35 X 12.50-15 BF Goodrich Radial All Terains are just a few of the upgrades you'll enjoy.

The interior features bucket seats, a Tuffy lockable center console holding the Alpine Bluetooth Stereo and an array of custom Auto Meter Pro-Comp Gauges. The floors have been Rhino Lined for durability and ease of cleanup. Shown in the pics are the removable Hard Top & Doors, not shown are the included soft doors, Bikini Top & rear tonneau cover for the bed.

The exterior is in really good shape and still shows well after 25,000+ miles of enjoyment with chrome grill & accents & solid straight panels with minor chips and a few small rust spots that would be easy to remedy (see all 100+ pics).

Under the hood you'll find the professionally installed 5.7 Vortec V8 complete with power steering, power brakes & A/C along with the ARB Air pump for the lockers.(included is an invoice for $24,000 for engine & suspension upgrades alone!).

Underside photos reveal a solid chassis that shows a number of the suspension up grades along with a well-sorted drivetrain complete with skid plates and custom exhaust (again, see all 100+ pics).

This is a nice solid example however, it isn't perfect. The drivers seat is worn on the side (presumably from sliding in & out with the lifted ride height), the ratchet style floor shifter is loose and would be the first thing I would change, the key won't release from the ignition for unknown reasons and the brakes aren't as strong as I would like them.

While this kick ass Jeep Scrambler does run and drive, it will need to be completely inspected and serviced before any extended driving to ensure safety and reliability (due to our filming schedule we cannot perform any additional work on this Jeep or build it for you). The winning bidder may have the option of coming to the shop to pick up the car.

If you're looking for a nice 1982 Jeep Scrambler, you won't find a better example that's priced to sell! This would be perfect for Cruise Night, Advertising and Promotional use or as a kick ass addition to your collection, you decide!
