1982 Jeep CJ-7 Limited Survivor 50,680 Original Miles!!
1982 Jeep CJ Limited Description
You are bidding on a very original 1982 Jeep CJ-7 Limited. Featuring a 258 (4.2) six cylinder engine with a two barrel carburetor, 5 speed manual transmission with overdrive, power steering and power brakes. The CJ-7 Limited was an upgraded package that added many unusual features to the standard CJ-7 of that time. Some features included painted fender flares versus black fender flares, a chrome front bumper and chrome bumperettes, a color matched hard top instead of the usual black or white, a headliner in the hard top, special wheels with trim rings, upgraded thick pile carpeting, leather steering wheel and passenger assist handle, special exterior striping with "Limited" name plates as well as a black windshield frame. Additionally, it was possible to add genuine leather bucket seats for an additional $399.00. This Jeep has the leather seat option as well as a larger 20 gallon fuel tank. The original owner had dealer installed "American Air" air conditioning installed at the time of purchase and had the Jeep "Ziebart" rustproofed as well. This CJ was built in October of 1981 and sold to the first purchaser on March 26, 1982 by By Fishel's Jeeps Inc. Red Lion, Pa. The original owner kept the Jeep until the late 1990's when it was traded back in at the selling dealer for a Grand Cherokee. The dealer then kept the Jeep in storage from that time and has now decided to sell the Jeep. The CJ is about as original as they come. The exterior is copper brown metallic with a nutmeg hard top and interior. There has never been any repainting of the Jeep. Other than some minor stone chips that have been touched up, all paint is original. The interior is in near perfect condition with the exception of the leather covering of the steering wheel. It is sun damaged. There is no wear to the carpet or seats and the original "Jeep" floor mats are included. Under the hood is stock with the exception of a replacement battery, the air conditioning has been converted to R134A freon from the original R12 and the muffler and tailpipe has been replaced. Most imperfections to the exterior are noted in the photos. They include a scuffed left front fender flare, a hood stripe that has two missing sections, a small ding on the tailgate caused by the spare tire carrier handle and a very small trace of rust starting to be visible along the right rocker panel molding. The photos also show that this Jeep is unusually rust free in all of the typical areas prone to rust. Please note that because this vehicle was "Ziebarted", there are additional holes drilled and plugged in areas such as the windshield frame, door jambs and tailgate. The original documented mileage is 50,680. The Jeep starts easily, runs smoothly and shifts properly. the four wheel drive and brakes functions as they should. The A/C cools properly. Although the tires have been replaced, they are the original type Goodyear Arriva P235/75R15, the same type that were original to the Jeep. The original owners kit as well as the original window sticker is included with the purchase. There is a clear Pa. title for the Jeep. This Jeep is 32 years old so please do not ask me if this Jeep can be driven home without any problems. I can tell you that at this point I know of no known defects that would affect driving this vehicle any distance. There is no "Buy it Now" price. We prefer to allow the auction run to the end. The reserve is set at several thousand dollars less than similar exceptional CJ's listed on Ebay. It is being sold as-is and must be picked up in Red Lion, Pa. I welcome any serious buyer to make an appointment to come and inspect the Jeep for yourself.
