1978 CJ7 Project, Lot of Parts, Needs work, Runs & Drives
1956 Jeep CJ-7 base Description
About this vehicleThis 1978 Jeep CJ-7 is a project vehicle, registered as a 1956 due to the frame, and transmission. The owner has had it for about 6 months. The vehicle is drivable but not regularly driven, but was moved around the driveway when I received it, and ran well until the dash was rewired from the minimal custom one to an OEM dash and gages. It has not been started since, and I have since run out of time to work on it.Seller's NotesPrimer, needs glass, seats are included with brackets, all work needed and as-is. Lots of additional parts can be included with the reserve met. I won’t let it go for less, as I have gotten tons of parts off eBay and specialty sites for both the 1956 year and the 1978 year. The transmission is a 3spd dual-stick and the engine a 289 Ford, in great shape, with lots of new parts, including battery. Please note the wiring in the engine bay is not hooked up except for the plugs and wires. Again, before this, it started, ran, and drove up and down the driveway. Ask for any photos you want but the photos are pretty clear. Rust is mostly surface. Bumpers are welded on by previous owner, who ran it on a farm in the CV.
