Missing lug wrench, top of rear seat is held together with duct tape, previous owner removed the air pump and EGR valve. Transmission is a 4 speed manual that is not the original and was installed by an amateur, it leaks oil and jumps out of 3rd gear sometimes. It is still usable. Rusted area on passenger side has holes rusted through the floor. Drivers side also has rust in the same area but not as bad. I broke the bolts off in the liftgate trying to replace the hinges and some new pieces will have to be fabricated and welded into the liftgate. There are cracks in the top of both doors and our favorite amateur tried to weld the one in the drivers door and made a dandy mess. There is a huge hole in the padded dash. I am not completely sure of the engines condition. It runs really well and doesn't seem to have any major issues. The oil pressure gauge has tremors, but that may be because I stuck a cheap Chinese pressure gauge in it. It would be smart to go through the engine while the transmission was out for an overhaul. The odometer reads 63327 miles but the cable was broke when I bought the Jeep. The rubber pedal covers show hardly any wear and the mileage may not be too far off. It drives really well and the 4wd works well. A CJ7 has a 10" longer wheelbase with more interior room and was just right for me with my big feet and long legs. At least it is a Jeep that is one of the simplest vehicles there is to work on without a single metric nut bolt or washer. Parts availabilty is excellent and there is a chance you can get back what you spend on it. The Old time PerLux driving lights have a special dual relay and put out an amazing amount of light for sealed beams. They light up the road like daytime. You may have noticed the Black Bear decals on the hood. It earned the right to wear them when it took me and a friend over the infamous Black Bear road into Telluride Colorado. It performed flawlessly over that rough and woolly road. I am going to miss it a lot and I wish I could afford to keep it and finish what I have started. Over $4000 invested and driven less than 500 miles. Sounds kind of like a personal problem, Right?
