1972 Jeep CJ Description
History : The Desert Rat !! ~ 1972 Jeep CJ5 with special order 304 V-8 Engine ~ Jeep was bought brand new from Rinke Jeep Mt Clemens, Michigan in the summer of "72" by my father ~ Moved to Arizona in the fall of "72" ~ Jeep stayed in Arizona until 2010 and was then shipped to Cape Coral, Florida ~ The Jeep was used for desert driving, ghost town hunting and river forging in Arizona accounting for most of its miles !! ~ Since in Florida Jeep has not been drove much at all ~ Jeep has been owned by one family since fresh off the assembly line in 1972 (father & son) ~ Jeep has 77,134 original miles with numbers matching (stock) and runs great !! ~ Comes with two sets of doors ~ One set with vinyl plastic zip windows and other set of half doors for hunting ~ There is a spare matching rim ~ Also comes with the two desert jerry cans and an antique buggy spring on front bumper ~ Tires are very good ~ Front window folds down ~ Now for all the things done since being in Florida & what it could still use ~ Jeep has been painted with a matte finish with some custom airbrushing ~ Engine & Rims are black powder coated ~ All new parts include : dual exhaust, wheel cylindersmaster cylinder, starter, alternator, relay, voltage regulator, steering box, ignition switch and new shocks ~ Jeep still needs : wiper motor, need horn (it is there so could be button) ~ front seats reupholstered (there are covers on them) ~ Top is a little baggy on sides but still looks good and is in very nice shape (could maybe have adjustments made) ~ There is some top surface rust on the floors that is from rubber matts ~ Floors and body are solid ~ All in all very nice shape for being 48 years old !! ~ Selling As Is ~ GREAT OLD JEEP LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME !! ~ Feel free to email me with any more questions you might have !!
