I have owned this 1990 Jeep Wrangler Laredo since 1996 with no significant issues. It still has the dependable 4.2 Liter engine and 5-speed manual transmission that were in it when it came off the line. The Jeep hasbeen garage kept to protect it from the weather. It has been a pleasure vehicle for me, averaging about 2,700 miles per year since I've owned it.
At 100,000 miles, the original carburetor was upgradedto a Weber 38 DGES. In the last few thousand miles the water pump, flywheel, clutch and slave cylinder were upgraded with after-market heavy duty components, and the manual transmission gearbox was overhauled.
Otherwise, other than the neoprene seat covers, the heavy duty locking center console and not so heavy duty locking storage bins right and left, the custom locking easily removable designed by me "trunk" and the Sony and Alpine stereos the rest is pretty much as it was when I got it. It has a simple body lift, so no linkages, etc. had to be changed out and it drives like it was meant to from the factory. The chrome "brightwork", the custom real-wood dash trim and the Grant steering wheel were all there in 1996 when I bought the Jeep.
Of course the sale includes the bikini top, cargo area cover, along with the full soft top with all zippered window inserts and the cloth doors bottom and top which all fitsnugly and work as intended. Please note that extra emissions components were removed some time ago. I honestly have no idea if this vehicle would pass emissions testing or not. Here in Florida because of the Jeep's age it does not have to pass tests any longer. Please be aware of any requirements to register and operate the vehicle in your state prior to purchase. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns about this vehicle or if you want more pictures (I have plenty). Call me anytime at (407) 345-9798 and leave a message if I don't answer. I'll call you back as quickly as I can,or email me through eBay and I'll try to do the same. I consider myself to be an honest man, and I will do whatever I can to make any potential buyer feel comfortable about purchasing this Jeep. It has served me very well and I fully expect it will do so for any future owner. Thanks for your consideration.
