If you've been wanting a CJ7, this is the one you should buy. Right now. Today. This 1985 Jeep CJ7 is the product of a 4-year frame-off restoration with fresh cosmetics and suspension that were finished within the last year. Add in a 5-speed, expensive new tires, and a hardtop, and you have one heck of a buy at this price. The only problem with owing this Jeep is that sooner or later, you're going to want to play in the dirt and it's just so pretty. The paint is less than a year old and shines up beautifully; almost no Jeep gets a paint job this expensive because they tend to lead hard lives playing in the brush. The Golden Eagle decals were correctly installed and it doesn't look dated like some colors. Instead, you're going to get a ton of thumbs-up gestures as you drive it and the guys at the Jamboree will look on with envy, figuring you spent about twice the asking price to restore this CJ. This CJ is that clean. The front and rear bumpers with tow hooks, the rubber fender flares, the new chrome mirrors, and bright rocker trim all give this Jeep a correct look and it's all quite fresh. The tan interior is beautifully restored as well, including new Rugged Ridge seats covered in durable materials that are certainly resistant to the outdoors. There are tan carpets on the floor that make the Jeep feel a bit more civilized, along with a 3-spoke steering wheel that dresses things up a bit. A chrome dash plate, fresh gauges, and an AM/FM stereo with Pioneer speakers tucked into the dash all help if you want to use this Jeep on a regular basis. Look closely and you'll see that there are five forward gears in the transmission, with a tall overdrive making this off-roader especially highway friendly, again perfect for those of you looking for the ultimate daily driver. Even the back seat has been freshened, so there's nothing inside that looks to have been overlooked. This CJ also includes a removable hardtop that's been covered in spray-on bedliner material, so it's plenty durable. The mainstay powerplant of the CJ line was AMC's bulletproof 258 cubic inch inline-6. Rebuilt and nicely detailed, it runs great and looks awesome with an aluminum valve cover and a shorty air cleaner on top. There's a very long list of new stuff under the hood, it's easy to see in the photos, and the work is very nicely done by a guy who knows these Jeeps pretty well. New hoses, a nice-sounding exhaust system, and that freshly rebuilt and upgraded T5 5-speed manual gearbox are welcome here, and with a 2-speed transfer case, there aren't many places this Jeep can't go. Underneath you'll see what we mean about being afraid to take it off road, because it's spotless! The frame-off restoration resulted in a beautifully finished chassis with a 4-inch lift, new shocks, and a lot of new hardware. Power steering is welcome on a Jeep with this much tire and it's sitting on beautiful 15-inch ION wheels with giant 35x12.50-15 Mud Claw tires that are so new you can still see the tire quills on the tread. This is a beautifully done Jeep and considering how many of these we sell, it's kind of surprising that it doesn't cost $10,000 more. Don't miss this opportunity to own one of the best we've seen. Call now!
