1993 Land Rover Range Rover Description
Reserve was not met, o I am resubmitting this auction (with a lowered reserve) for my own low mile (about 6,000 miles per year) Classic Rover County SWB. This model is by far my favorite due to it's the latest Classicthat didn't have EAS - the air suspension, hich was great at first but became faulty, nreliable, nd very expensive to repair. This particular Classic is very special and some could consider it rare due to the fact it does not have a sunroof which was also very faulty and now impossible to locate good parts for, specially the weather stripping which is no longer made. Honestly, he only thing this Rover had was ABS, hich was unreliable but this wont be a problem since we had it professionally removed and installed a standard brake booster in it's place. This is the Classic you want, t doesn't have any of the gremlins and has retained all of it's amazing dependable features we know and love in these Vintage Rovers - absolutely sensational. This particular engine is the 3.9, nd it pulls better than other Classics I've driven. The transmission is smooth and shifts flawlessly, s does the transfer case - no worries at all regarding the drivetrain. Recently repaired/reconditioned are as follows - Fuel system renewal, his means gas tank was professionally removed and cleaned, rand new fuel pump installed with filter (only 91 octane used), lso fresh tires installed (Cooper Discoverer), our new Bilstein shocks, ew rear tailgate lift struts, omplete cooling system refurbishing - Water pump, LL belts original radiator (professionally rebuilt), hermostat, xpansion tank and fan clutch, ew battery with MSD coil and spark plug wires. The engine bay is clean and currently needs nothing, only need to lift the hood when I'm changing the oil (Rotella T 15w40) which was just performed. I do have a few extra parts that I always keep handy which will come with the sale of this beauty. The interior of the cab is in incredible condition for it's year except for the drivers seat which has a tear on the outer edge where getting in and out over the years has finally rubbed through and it needs a headliner, therwise the top dash and binnacle housing were professionally sprayed with black Rhino Lining UV protection (talk about bulletproof) it will last forever, ront wood dash and center console were both uniquely refurbished, anded down and stained original wood trim, t has wood grain detail throughout and looks beautiful, peaking of center console, hese were another problem with these old Classics, fter some years they would break but amazingly enough this one has lasted and is one of the best ones I've ever seen (see picture) also refinished. Electronically throughout is mostly all functioning, ll windows, urn signals, orn, azard, ash lights, lock, ll gauges, nd wipers with the exception of the side mirror adjuster, t's a bit finicky, nd the cruise control which is connected but currently not working. Both seat switches are working, he drivers side switches move in all directions but the passenger back/tilt adjuster needs a little TLC. This model has driver and passenger heated seats which are believed to be working, can't tell since where I live never really gets cold enough. The radio is all there (not original Land Rover CD player) but is not connected, lso has the original subwoofer box and multi-cd player in the trunk. Air conditioning/heat is unknown, t seems to all be there but I've never used either of them, was told the heater core may have been bypassed, n either case I've never had a need for any the two since I only drive it during mild weather days (Spring, all, arm winters to Sedona for some fly fishing, he Grand Canyon or Flagstaff for some Photography, ts just a weekender 4x4 for me.All glass is like new, o tint included. rear cargo area is very clean with it's original cargo cover, pare tire/wheel original jack, wheel chocks, mmaculate tool set with a super rare Land Rover cloth/towel and owners manual included. I will also include extra parts as mentioned earlier which include a TPS sensor, hrottle body, nder-engine plastic dust cover (super rare), isc other parts. This Rover is a rust free Arizona vehicle and has been it's entire life - these were susceptible to getting rust on the rear hatch window and rear door frames, ou wont find holes/rust at all in those area's or under the body/frame, hat said the flip side to being in the desert is the paint has faded and needs attention, he body has few "door dings" but for it's age I'd say 8 out of 10 - NO dents or major damage.
If I had to pick a "con" regarding this Classic I'd say it has the slow power steering leak which is typical for these old Rover's, 've not needed to add any fluid in quite some, bviously repairable Ijust never got around to it. My seller rating is 100% and I take pride in my items, f you have questions please ask, 'm confident that the buyer will appreciate this Classic as much as I have.
The resale of the Classic Range Rover will continue to rise and fully restored they will fetch upwards of $20,000 as I've personally seen. I realize this vehicle is unrestored, hat said I do expect it to sell between $4,000 to $6,000 in it's current condition. Bid with confidence.
