1987 Land Rover Defender 90 Santana Description

You are bidding on a 1987 Land Rover D90 Left Hand Drive manufactured under license in Spain by Santana Motors: Santana Model 2500DC. The vehicle is equipped with a Land Rover 2.5L 4cyl diesel engine.

Improvements by Santana include more reliable electric components, stronger welds, catalytic converters, parabolic spring, anti-sway bars, and the LT85 transmission which was developed by Santana. Land Rover purchased LT85 gearboxes directly from Santana for its V8 110s and 90s between 1984 and 1991.

This Land Rover D90 is in great condition with virtually no rust other than very limited surface spots here and there on the undercarriage. The Frame is completely solid - something rarely found in UK built models. The vehicle still has its original carpet which is lightly worn. Seats have been recently reupholstered in grey with four jump seats in the rear cargo area. Power steering, power brakes, 5-Speed, diesel,Left Hand Drive. Front locking hubs and transfer case selection of 2High-4High-4Low.

It was cared for by its one previous owner and kept garaged. This vehicle has not been restored and, as a 30 year old car, has some wear and will need maintenance. This great looking vehicle needs the following: new tires, probably new brakes and a tune up. The odometer is in kilometers. However, the speedometer, which is mechanical, is not functioning properly. No jack seems to be present. The doors and ignition keys are worn (passenger door does not reliably open from inside andpassenger window hasdifficulty raising - this should be corrected with installation of new window channels, which are present and ready to install.) There are some spots on the undercarriage with some minor paint chips but again no significant rust. There is a small ding on the right front corner of the right quarter panel the size of a nickel. The previous owner legally imported the vehicle from the arid part of Spain and titled it in Florida. The vehiclecurrently has aClean Virginia Title. Vehicle Identification Number: VSELBABL8AZ100410
